I've never talented into that particular specialization because it looked like absolute tripe on paper buuut...I have to ask. If you actively become a blood mage i.e. spend more than two points in it, run around in blood aura, etc, do NPCs and companions react differently? If you save the speaking-to-Anders portion post-Karl trauma until you become a dedicated blood mage does his dialogue change? Hell, does Anders go bat**** bonkers?
I know running around in broad daylight zapping blokes with lightning and curbstomping them with telekinesis does nothing from the templar perspective - they just chalk it up to extremely resourceful rats or something. But if blood magic changes the perspective, it'd be one hell of a lot more attractive to me. Although admittedly, it's not like I need more reasons to spite Anders, pretentious whiny **** that he is.

Not anything more than in Origins.

People barely react to Hawke being a mage in Kirkwall. No one acknowledges the Champion as a blood mage.

God dammit. And here I was hoping I could get something more out of Anders than his perpetual whinging. Must admit though, from a coding standpoint it'd be annoying to implement. Have a sizable gameplay shift based upon a single conditional. Shame though

There's barely anyone who does recognize that Hawke is a mage. Meredith, Cullen, Orsino, Anders, Fenris, Carver, Varric, Merril and Thrask too I think. I don't know if there are any others.

I agree that it would be a bit of a challenge for Bioware to do that. But it would have been nice to see some reactions based on you using blood magic.
