I am extremely unhappy with the service I have recieved from this company. This isn't exactly an attack on the developers or whatever the cause of the problem is. It is simply a statement of fact. Luke Barrett in particular has been a ton of help, and I appreciate that. Yet, I feel as though this problem has kinda been pushed to the side. There has not been any real updates or responses to the "Unable to Launch" thread, and it is truly tiresome to look through 40+ pages.
I understand that bioware is working hard, and trying to fix every problem. However, it has been 35 days. I preordered this game a very long time ago. Preordered the collectors edition manual as well for the hell of it. Bought DA:O ultimate edition (after originally owning origins anyway so I would have something more to do while waiting patiently for a fix). All in all, I have spent more than $130 dollars in the last month+ on Bioware related items. So I hope you can understand my frustration when pretty much the majority of that money has been unusable.
I'm simply requesting a response, and reassurance that the problem is being looked into officially.
This is the error I recieve:

I have attempted to reinstall multiple times from the DVD (I originally bought it retail). Recently, and then again today when the new patch came out, I redownloaded and reinstalled using the EADM. I tried to use the EADM (with my anti-virus turned off) in order to activate DA2, or even simply run it. I click play, and it fails like every other time. I have not had this issue with DA:O ultimate edition, or mass effect 2. I was able to activate both of those successfully.
If anyone, especially a moderator, could help out. I would appreciate it. Thanks.

That's a problem with your Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library. That can usually be solved by reinstalled it... on my system it is located here:
C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Electronic Arts\\Dragon Age™ II\\__Installer\\DISK1\\Redistributable
then run vcredist_x86
that usually solves this problem.
The STEAM version does not have that folder.. but I believe you can get the most current ms v c++ runtime libraries for MS. It's a 32bit app so even if you have a 64bit OS, you need the 32bit runtime libraries.

I just tried that, and tried to download and reinstall C++ from the MS site. No luck

http://www.microsoft...&displaylang=en did you try downloading and installing this?
APPCRASH errors are to do with your computer than the game itself so new patches won't help you. You need to icolate the problem on your computer to get things working,
PS: Placing blame on the developer sort of makes you look silly. It is not the responsibility or EA/Bioware to help you fix your computer issues.
