I recently got ME2 with my DA2 purchase (online code submitted through EADM), and since I had not played ME1 yet, I went ahead and purchased that also.
I wanted to patch the games to whatever the current patch level is, but I figured I would need to register them on the site first.
However, when I go to my profile and go to My Games > Register Game, Mass Effect 1 is not listed for ANY system (I have the PC version). Mass Effect 2 shows up, as well as all of the Dragon Age games, but not ME1.
Is it missing, not supported, or? Just checking! It's also a handy place to keep registry keys in case they are lost, I presume.
"Mass Effect - PC" missing from registration page?

Nothing, I guess? I can't register the game, so it doesn't show up in the "Games" toolbar at the top of this web site (social.bioware.com). And since it does not show up there, I cannot go to Mass Effect > Game Patches to get updates for the game. Unless the updates are somewhere else?
Dragon Age, Dragon Age 2, Mass Effect 2, and Warhammer Online all show up there under my games list, and all offer patches. But not a damned thing for Mass Effect 1.
Someone help? Please?

So if we're unable to register ME1 (which is very strange and makes no sense, as ME2 is up there as well as Warhammer Online - which isn't even a Bioware game), how in the world do you update the game with patches? I haven't been able to find anything here on how to get updates, but I know they're available as I had friends who have played ME1 that confirmed it.
Such a pain...hell, half the links for ME don't even work (try going to "Support" when you first launch the game launcher screen (that lets you edit options, uninstall, etc), and the links that it takes you to are nonexistent on the site.
/sigh

ME1 is from a different time and considering how ME "evolved" it seems to me Bioware would like to hush it up all together for whatever reason

Did you even look on this forum? You know, second post down, stickied, and titled "[PC] Mass Effect 1 Patch and Bring Down the Sky Links"?
Didnt think so.

No need to be an assclown there, Bogsnot1. If you go re-read my original question, I was mainly concerned about why I wasn't able to register ME1 in the registered games list.
I did read the sticky, and have since downloaded the patches about 4 hours after my previous post. I wasn't sure exactly what Bring Down the Sky was, so I did not use the registration link for my ME1 cd key as I figured I didn't have that expansion (which is what I'm assuming BDtS is).
Again, there's no reason to respond in the way you did. If you feel the need to post like that, keep it to yourself as I'm sure nobody wants to read it.
Thanks to everyone else for the responses. I've gone ahead and registered my CD key at the BDtS link and even downloaded that as well. Please excuse my ignorance and failure to know everything about everything on these forums.
Cheers,
BK:whistle:
