That happened long enough ago that I would imagine they are all different ones. They'd pretty much have to be, unless the original ones got an extended lifespan out of it.

I believe they were infected later. When you go for a compromise between the werewolves and the elves one of the things that they talk about is that the ones that attacked his family are long dead.
