One thing that has always annoyed me about DA:O is the fact that if I choose to TOGGLE RADIAL MENU in the options screen, the game un-pauses itself as soon as I press A to confirm my selected action for the any given character, without allowing me to issue commands for each character before resuming action as it intimates in the manual. Am I selecting my action incorrectly?

In DA II, when you select your action while having the radial menu toggled, you press A to confirm your action and can then switch to a different member of your party to do likewise. The action doesn't resume until you pull the left trigger again to toggle off the radial menu.

Why doesn't it work this way in Origins?  Am I doing something incorrectly?
