I'm thinking of giving it to Varric but I'm open to other options... my hawke is a mage so thats out (uses too many different staffs).

If you use Fenris, then he'd appreciate it for the increased amount of staggers it would produce. Failing that, Varric is a solid choice.

DW rogue if it's Hawke, else, the warrior, preferably Fenris. I would love it on my mage, but changing staves negates it for me.

I give it Bianca for the irony of it (as if he didn't have enough speed-boost skills already ), given that mere minutes ago: I can has a insta-crazy? NOES U CANNOT HAS

Actually the reason I give it to Bianca (Varric) is because she is the only weapon in game (Fadeshear excluded, which has no rune slots) that actually LEVELS UP as the party does, and won't need to be replaced. Ever. Such a rare rune would be wasted on a mid-game weapon just to get replaced, but not utilised while it just sits in my Storage waiting for the Blade of Mercy or whatever.

I don't think I'd ever find it to be worth taking the rune vs letting Varric keep it. If you let him keep it, Bianca gains 3 additional rune slots, so unless you don't use Varric, that's likely going to produce better results.

The ruin of devastation doesn't stack, so really why does Bianca need 3 additional rune slots.

I say keep it for ur self, even for a mage its very beneficial. U attack, and cast spells a good deal faster with it.

Ahh, but seriously, I think it is more his insanity channeling into Bianca - I think any rune slots he has on his outfit is lost to compensate. (Or... maybe that's a bug...?)

The rune slots on his duster come back as soon as you load or zone. You just lose the runes in them at the time. I think it's an issue with activating the previously obtained upgrades on the "new" duster.

This is a valid point and (at the time) was my thinking as well. As for the Primeval worth 3 slots question… I don’t think there is much in it, assuming you mostly just auto attack.

I advise to use Primeval Rune on Bianca or keep it for future DLCs. It gives Bianca around +37%, but it levels up with it. When i glitched to level 50 (just to test this) Bianca had +75%! With Speed, Bianca's Song and Haste...it puts gatling gun to shame.
