In ME1 Garrus and Ashley almost never left my party. I do remember taking Liara to confront Benezia and I did bring tali along every now and agin while exporing planets but for the most part it is was always Garrus and Ashely.

In ME2, the only time Miranda leaves my party is during the Suicide Mission, by far my most valuable ( as well as favorite ) squadmate. Once gain Garrus stays with me most of the time although I do occasionally sawp him out for Samara, Kasumi, Thane or Grunt.

If I had to make a list it would probably look like this:

I have a set squads that I operate out of as follows and used in this order of frequency:

1) Little Girl Squad (Jack & Kasumi) = 50%.
2) Old Times Squad (Tali & Garrus) 20%.
3) Oh Shiii-- Squad (Grunt & Legion) = 20%. I just imagine hostiles crapping their pants when they see a geth and krogan.
4) All other combos = 10%.

And it's typically Garrus or Mordin with me on Loyalty Missions.

For ME1 (until after Virmire where Ash was left, and then it was mostly Tali/Garrus) it was a mix of all of the first 4 (Focus on Tali/Ash) and Kaiden and Liara at most only got a couple assignments each.  For ME2, it was almost purely Shep/Tali/Garrus except in a few places where Grunt stood in for Garrus or Jack for Tali.

WOW garrus is so popular in both games..surprising how Tali having a huge fanbase is not that high ranked as companion in general..and Jacob is the most expendable teammate until now.
