WOW garrus is so popular in both games..surprising how Tali having a huge fanbase is not that high ranked as companion in general..and Jacob is the most expendable teammate until now.

Tali is a bit on the squishy side and doesn't have much versatility.  In ME1, Kaidan and Garrus could fill the techie roll and still spew bullets and biotics without mercy.  In ME2, anti-shield attacks were fairly common, plus Legion virtually did the same thing, only with a much better weapon loadout.

Dies a lot + niche role = not used often.

I used Miranda and Garrus the most in ME2.

Behind them are Legion( get him late in game), Thane and Tali.


Least I use are Jacob and Jack.
Not useless, but not as useful like others.


Also in ME1 I pretty much use everyone equally.
Except for Ashley. I use her least since AI is terrible in ME1 and she has no powers that don't require weapon.

Hmm... Interesting question, I think I'll split between the two games.

I barely use Ash and Kaidan, and my most played class is the Soldier.
The Liara and Tali tag team is epic past level 40+ and on Insanity.

8- Thane | Mordin | Legion

My most played class in the Soldier again (mostly RP reasons) so I have used the top three as my Shore party by a wide margin, and I have barely used the other squadmates as a result.

I practically never use Samara or Jack outside of the LM's and I've only recruited Morinth once or twice to get Dominate.

Tali with light Colossus Armor in ME1 becomes a tough cookie, spec'd with the Shotty and pretty much maxed Tech Talents and a savant x omnitool is awesome for the support role. But she got squishier in ME2 without multiple CC abilities like in ME1, and the long drone cooldown is a bit of a downer on higher difficulties.

In my ME1 games, Kaidan was the squishiest since shields and barriers drained so quickly on higher difficulties, and Liara has better biotic buffs, although Neural Shock did come in handy for a few fights.

I used to use them all in ME1 and switch it like every mission most of the time though. Also i use them for story reasons more than their usefellness on the battlefield. Gives more challenge on Insanity anyway.

Garrus and Wrex were my main team, both personally and combat-wise. They balance each other off extremely well. Paired with a Biotic or a Vanguard for extra madness. Tali, I didn't use much mostly because I found the Engineer class less useful than the others, also because she is a bit dull. Kaidan, is, well... Kaidan. Uninteresting. Carthish... The sentinel class doesn't pack quite the same punch as many of the other squadmates anyway (as opposed to the extremely powerful Sentinel class in ME2)

Well, I didn't care much for Miranda, but in combat she was just so damn useful. Warping and overloading everything, while giving combat bonuses to the rest of the team. Priceless. Garrus is still my bro, but after Wrex left, things never really were the same again. Too bad (hoping for one last mission with him in ME3, though. Could be awesome) The list also illustrates how nerfed the biotics were this time around. The reason for Kasumi being so low, is simply because the DLC was released later than the game and the reason for Morinth being at the bottom is due to me not being an inhumane beast.

What if he still used him in like every Side Quest left + DLC? I did.

Ash/Kaidan were used only until I got others on the squad and Liara was used only one time on Noverria.

I'd love to play Legion more, but I usually get him right before SM, so there's not much to do with him. And while I just love Jack, I don't use her much, as her powers are pretty useless, which is sad.

Others are not used much aside loyalty missions.

You can actually play with him even before some others like Tali..and Kal´Reegar will be surprised by watching a geth by his side..just rally to horizon then the derelick reaper, you can get him in about 4 hours main story.
The only problem is your normandy crew will die because of the delay doing secondary missions...so no BULL there
