It's spacebar unless you have changed settings for your keyboard.

do you use the default controls options in the game or have you changed them otherwise the only thing i can think of is reinstall the game.
I've had similar issues with other games and that had to do with program iv'e downloaded caused conflicts with the game files (have you downloaded any program after you installed the game if so try to remove them and see if it works).
