@Carcinogyn,

Well, that's a heck of a bug if it can cause our GPU's to be unstable in any other game we play. I can't understand how a simple clearing of the temp/cache is going to fix that, but I'll wait and see how it works for you.

I've spent the day trying to confirm that my GPU is dying, and was already mostly convinced that it is. I can't run a stability test without it wigging out, and I can no longer play any other game.  I also completely cleaned out my Nvidia drivers with DriverSweeper and reinstalled the newest version, to no avail.  If some bug in DAO is causing all this....it's worse than any game bug I've ever seen.

Turns out it wasn't anything but a simple temp/cache clear. Follow the instructions I posted earlier and it should work. If you can't delete some of the files in those folders, try restarting your computer, then deleting them. I was able to play for about an hour today with no graphical corruption. I'll have to do more testing but it appears the temp/cache folders were the problem. I need to test my other games but I'll keep this update as soon as I'm able to.

Unfortunately, clearing the temp/cache didn't do anything for me. Still can't play. And I never had a problem like this in any game before....why would some extra files in the temp make my GPU totally worthless all of a sudden?

Did you set your hardware sound acceleration level to basic under dxdiag? Otherwise, try updating your drivers, or maybe even rolling them back to 180 like a previous poster had done. Perhaps your card might be overheating? Download EVGA Precision and you can up your video card's fan speed. If none of those work, I don't know what else to tell you than to just head over to EA Support and have a chat with one of the tech reps and see if they can find the issue. Good luck with it.
