I wasn't sure where to ask this, but someone here might know: when using the save file creator to make an import file, is it necessary to leave all the Awakening flags blank if you want the game to recognise that your Warden did the ultimate sacrifice?

I ask because I made a save reflecting the choices of both my dead Origins Warden and the Orlesian I took through the expansion. When I got to the first conversation with Bodahn in High Town he said that the Hero of Ferelden was a great woman and he hoped she'd go on to do great things. While she was pothumously declared a Paragon, I somehow don't think that's what he meant ^_^.  I think I broke something by setting all the flags and he now thinks that she's alive. Am I right in assuming that Bodahn should recognise my Warden's heroic sacrifice?

Yeah, man. That is a serious problem with the design of DA:O/A itself. You can import an "ultimate sacrifice" warden into Awakenings, and they are mysteriously alive.

IN THEORY, the best fix would be one of two things:
1. When importing into Awakenings, it asks if you want to actually continue your dead Warden (with the hand-waving) or to create a new Orlesian warden (that way you still have one continuous world-state save).
2. When importing into DA2, if you imported an ultimate sacrifice warden, it could then have asked to also import an Awakenings/GoA/WH save to represent the next set of events (with the Orlesian warden).

The whole thing is so fubar'd. It's frustrating. Continuity is important, dammit!
