I, for one, am in favour of new frontiers and blasting off into the future in gaming...

...as long as it's done right.

An RPG doesn't have to stick religiously to the rules to be good, in my humble opinion, but which of the traditional points do you personally think should be stuck to? (serious question, dudes)

What differences in the formula would you like to see in future games?

I have no problems with branching out the Turn-based combat or a faster paced one, ergo, the gameplay itself

I have HUGE problems with customization, ****** poor storyline, character development and Game lenght

for example, I loved the witcher 1, even tho the combat was not that great, it had Story Depth, customization and a lot of Content to be explored, like the alchemy feature for example of the character development, I loved the First eus Dex, it didn't have any "classical" RPG features, what it had, was everything that made an RPG encompansed in a New gameplay formula and great story, it worked great

The witcher 2 looks promising too, along with Deus Ex: Human revolution, and those two games don't have the "classical" archetype of an RPG

Actually, this isn't DA2 related, so would be better suited to Off Topic (as would the other thread, come to think of it).
