It's still happening with me too.
The patch fixed loading times and fixed save game errors but it still cuts out conversations.
And cut scenes are missing people in the coversations, when Wrex headbuts one of his clan,it's blank.
And in some scenes their heads are missing.

It seems to me that Bioware's claim that not many people are experiencing these bugs keeps getting thinner and thinner... More and more people are reporting these bugs:

1) Freedom's progress! The audio is out of sync when the Heavy Mech is descimating the quarians.
2)Jack's recruitment mission at the end when Warden Kurli is speaking and
shooting people. The audio is out of sync there. Also when Jack escapes
and kills the guards and sees the Normandy. Out of sync audio.
3) Landing on Tunchanka. The sound is muted as in a distance. No sound effects of the shuttle landing.
4) Samara recruitment, when Samara kills the merc, audio effect out of sync.
5) Morinth vs Samara scene. Audio effects are out of sync.
6) Texture issues in the Overlord DLC, when driving around. The vehicle is also sinking through the ground.
7) Liara's assistant on Ilium 'sitting' without a chair in Liara's office! She's meant to be at her desk outside,

I have experienced all of these and more. I don't do a whole lot of PC gaming, but this is without a doubt the glitchiest game I have ever experienced on a console. I'd like to continue my story on the PS3 again, when ME3 comes out, but I don't know... I just don't think BioWare can make this work on the PS3 properly.

Listen closely, because I've said this before. I understand and acknowledge that you are having this issue, and I believe you when you ssay this issue exists. There is, as far as I know, no agreement or contract that obligates BioWare to fix an issue they have acknowledged, nor is there anyting forcing us to create a patch for one of our products. It is unfortunate that some people are having some pretty significant problems with their game, but that will always be the case with videogames. Someone, somewhere, will always be experiencing big problems with their game. Software is not perfect, and will not work 100% of the time for 100% of the people who purchase it. This is, unfortunately, the reality of creating huge collaborative software products consisting of tens, if not hundreds of thousands of lines of code and thousands of different assets all working together in one sometimes very fragile apparatus.

This is the garbage excuse of a PC dev. Consoles are closed environments. There is no random Factor that can completely change the experience. If player X has console Y and sees issue Z, unless you pressed different code onto different disks, THEY'LL ALL SEE IT doing the same steps.

Bioware has already mentioned that through their tests that they do not experience any of the sound issues or dialogue cuts. I highly doubt unless there is a bug with transferring from ME2 to ME3 will they ever patch anything for ME2. They are pretty much done with this game.

Also I didn't start experiencing any issues until my 6th or 7th playthrough. My first few playthroughs were flawless with no bugs or glitches whatsoever.

Hey,

I recently bought ME2 PS3 (disc version), and as many people here, I experience audio cuts, slow loading, hiccups, slow savings and even a freeze or two.

The only thing I can say for this problem is that at least to me it has to do with heat somehow. By changing the location of my console and adding extra cooling ( a regular fan pointing at the machine, lol )  the problems went down, but sure enough, after extended playtime problems would start again.

My machine is the fat 40gb model ( has a 300GB hd ), I don't think is my machine's fault as I've been playing many games for extended periods of time, and they have not shown any problems.

I pretty much know that Bioware just gave up on this, but hey, I just wanted to write my experience with this.

It's a real shame, I was hoping to avoid Origin by switching to PS3, but now I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm very dissapointed with this version.

I'm trying to find out if people who downloaded ME2 from the PSN are having the same problem as people who bought the disc version.

Just figured I'd add my two cents feedback-wise. I recently purchased a disc version of Mass Effect 2; I experienced all the noted issues on my PS3 slim. Overall, the audio desyncs were largely ignorable for me since I mostly read the subtitles but there were occasional instances where it was eerily notable like only one word was spoken before it cut out. The Overlord texture problems were disappointing as well; the actual story element was not. Still, overall I loved the game.

No news on any fix on these issues...

She's meant to be at her desk outside

Lets just accept the fact that these bugs are not gonna get fixed and move on...

Well, I've got a brand new PS3 and I am having the same audio synch problems as everyone here. I also played before on my original PS3 and had the same audio issues on Freedom's Progress and when getting Jack on the prison ship but that was before the latest patch.

I really find it kind of stupid that if, magically, they can't reproduce the above problems that maybe they could spend a few dollars and get a retail copy of the game and a retail PS3 and see if the problem pops up. The latest patch has definitely made the audio problems much worse than they originally were.

I have all the listed glitches mentioned on this thread. Brothers and sisters, lets face it, they will not release a new patch for ME2 as it is considered to be "dead" for them. They will see it as a waste of time and energy, and I assume they didnt want to say that to your faces, but cmon, its obvious!

I have ordered ME3 COLLECTOR'S EDITION FOR PS3! BIOWARE IF YOU ARE READING THIS AND I HOPE YOU DO! THATS 79 US DOLLARS OUT OF MY POCKET PLUS THE EXTRA COST I WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR THE SHIPPING!

Do not make us regret the moment we trusted you and your products! I can easily right now right this moment torrent ME2 for PC BUT NO! I aint going to that, because I still respect BIOWARE, I HOPE that you WILL RESPECT ME BACK THE SAME WAY I RESPECTED YOU!

I am not saying the game must be 100 percent perfect but COME ON! ALL THE LIST GLITCHES DID NOT JUST AFFECT A FEW RANDOM PEOPLE!!

If we could have some poll to really see how many people have the bugs mentioned...I know we will all be surpised and not really surprised if you know what I mean.

And sorry for the caps, I got carried away.....but hey....I paid more than 79 dollars.......

It was unbearable for me. The lagging, Audio/Scene skipping randomly. On the suicide mission is where it really took a toll. The entire end sequence lagged even when shepard and the team got back to the ship. I don't remember ever experiencing this on the 360 version (Originaly owned the game on 360 before the 1st disc of the 2 broke). Knowing that this issue exist, seeing when this topic was posted, and realizing that this has still not been fixed. I'm not so sure i will buy ME3 on PS3.

I threw out the game, and bought a 360 + ME1 and 2.

I feel like an ass for doing it, but BioWare wasn't ever going to fix this POS. But the games was worth it.

BDG420: I had the issues on the first install, pre-patch. Wasn't about to go away, and BioWare refused to acknowledge the problem; or rather they refused to spend any time on it, since they felt it was a minor thing. Boo-hoo.

Anyway, love the game on the 360, but I think it's a shame how the PS3 users are being treated.

Why did they release it for the PS3, if they don't want to spend the time polishing and fixing bugs of this size? ME3 was/is no excuse - the game came out no less than a year ago, and people paid good money for it. Actually, that's probably the reason why they released it.

Argh, there I go. Now I'm angry again. Sorry - really trying to be zen about it :)

Revisiting this for the first time in quite a while in preparation for ME3 and the voice-overs cutting off before the end of sentences is much worse than the last time I played. I can't believe they never fixed this, it ruins damn near every conversation.

I really hope they do a better job of staying on top of this stuff in ME3.
