Then we take our machines to bioware's office, dammit.
Good idea! Is anyone who lives in Canada willing to do this? If I lived there I would take my goddamn PS3 there immediately. Sadly I am in England

I've experienced the audio issues since I bought the game back in January, but the subtitles made it bearable. I've since bought an xbox, so I could play ME1 - and decided to purchase ME2 for this platform as well. Works perfectly, but it made me feel really bad about the money I spent on the PS3 version. (And I still prefer my PS3). But it was nice experiencing the game in full.
On topic: I've experienced everything from the lag/sync issues on Freedoms Progress, to the missing sound on Tuchanka ... and so on. My PS3 was bought in December 2010. I don't know if that helps anything.
Freedoms Progress issues (mech scene) is 100% consistent.

Kidding aside, I've experienced all of the above bugs as well. I bought the game for ps3 on sale for $25 in gamestop, and thought I'd made a bargain!
I didn't know anything about Mass Effect 1 as I have always been a staunch sony supporter, so I appreciated the effort put into Genesis. I bought the complete N7 arsenal bundle off of the psn store and was all set for an epic.
MAN was I dissapointed, not so much by the cut dialogue (as I use subs), but by the gargantuan, unsynchronised mess that was the cutscenes.
Nevertheless I will try your audio-fixes my good bogsnot1. If I am the herp-derper here, using inadequate audio settings, I will invite all Bioware devs to free danish beer a'plenty!
Let us know how you go. I dont own a ME2 on PS3 to test for myself (PC gamer mostly), but I have had various audio/video sync problems with consoles and home entertainment units that were caused by connectivity issues, and no the hardware itself.

1) Freedom's progress! The audio is out of sync when the Heavy Mech is descimating the quarians.
2) Jack's recruitment mission at the end when Warden Kurli is speaking and shooting people. The audio is out of sync there too. Also when Jack escapes and kills the guards and sees the Normandy. Out of sync audio.
3) Landing on Tunchanka. The sound is muted as in a distance.
Feel free to add in any problems with audio being out of sync!

Just a quick net search and only the first 2 results, so Bioware knows that it isn't only us saying the audio is out of sync...

They say they can't reproduce the audio glitch-lag. Maybe it has something to do with the fat PS3? I have a fat PS3. Can anyone confirm if the audio glitch-lag is present on the slim PS3?
I have the slim. In-complete and unsynched dialogue/cutscenes all over the place. And I must say, I find it really hard to believe, that it's impossible to duplicate these errors consistently in a fresh setup - but who am I to say otherwise

Maybe if we also post what ps3 we have and how our audio is connected it could help them try and reproduce the bugs. Although I think they should have every setup known to man there for them to test. Seems rather strange that they cant produce these issues

Oh and when I land on Tunchanka there is ALWAYS an audio glitch, like the sound is muted in the distance or something like that. Now that I think of it let's make a list of things wrong:
1) Freedom's progress! The audio is out of sync when the Heavy Mech is descimating the quarians.
2) Jack's recruitment mission at the end when Warden Kurli is speaking and shooting people. The audio is out of sync there too. Also when Jack escapes and kills the guards and sees the Normandy. Out of sync audio.
3) Landing on Tunchanka. The sound is muted as in a distance.
Feel free to add in any problems with audio being out of sync!
Yeah all the above mentioned audio problems happen when I play the game as well and there are also instances where someone will be speaking and they get cut short.
I have a PS3 slim and use HDMI connection for my TV.
If what Bioware is saying is true that they cannot replicate the problem then I don't think this problem is gonna ever be fixed, I just hope there isn't similar issues with ME3 which I'm very much looking forward to.

4) Samara recruitment, when Samara kills the merc, audio effect out of sync.
5) Morinth vs Samara scene. Audio effects are out of sync.
Seriously they couldn't reproduce any of the above?!?

Excuse me, but I would appreciate it if you would please keep the sarcasm and the name-calling out of the discussion. That is, if you are actually interested in my continued participation in this thread. I would prefer to deal with requests, suggestions and comments. When it comes to demands and refusals to accept an answer, I'm afraid I cannot help you.Scorpgul wrote...
I know right. But still His Highness Mr Stanley Woo persists that we are only a few in a million who are experiencing this severe and unacceptable issue. Actually Mr Woo we are the few in a million who CARE. I know loads of PS3 friends who experienced the same issue but did not bother because to them its just another game that they played and sold for some cash towards newer games
Currently, no further ME2 patch has been announced.
EDIT: There has been discussion of having a local player experiencing the problem bring their machine into the office to replicate the issue. Unfortunately, if we still cannot reproduce the issue locally, it might indicate that that particular machine may be the source of the problem.

6) In your cabil sometimes the music just won't start when you press on your radio near the bed. I found that going into the armor menu fixes this.
7) As always random people being cut off near the last word. Yesterday TIM was being cut off while speaking after Horizon. Nobody cuts off TIM while he is talking except Aria!(book reference).

I too work with software development and software QA (don't we all), so I can respect the work you're doing, but saying you don't acknowledge the problem, when it's clearly there - it rubs people the wrong way. I'm tempted to go out myself and buy a new copy of ME2, and a new PS3 slim, and test the audio issues myself, just to prove a point. Fortunately I have better things to do with my time. ;-)
And Mr. Woo - Your customers are frustrated. You should be able to ignore a few sarcastic comments.
To the frustrated: Buy a 360. The game works perfectly on that console. It seems that BioWare doesn't take the ps3 seriously as a platform. And that's okay I guess. I just wish I didn't spend all those money on the game when it came out.
