Listen closely, because I've said this before. I understand and acknowledge that you are having this issue, and I believe you when you ssay this issue exists. There is, as far as I know, no agreement or contract that obligates BioWare to fix an issue they have acknowledged, nor is there anyting forcing us to create a patch for one of our products.

Thank you for the clarity of your statement.

Listen closely. I will not buy Mass Effect 3 unless the serious problems with this Mass Effect 2 port are solved.  I can only speak for myself, but I suspect that I'm not alone.

Have a nice day.

Seconded. Well, err... for the PS3 at least. And no bonus points for sarcasm Mr. Woo. :/

I don't know about you guys, but I find the audio problem to not be an issue if you play with subtitles on.

agreed, i also find it not as unplayable as some are saying (at least for me)..but its still bugs me and i hope they can reproduce it so they can fix it.

Hey Bioware so you have trouble reproducing the bug, then maybe you'd like me to send you guys my PS3 with my copy of ME2. Then you'll be able to reproduce it as many times as you want to, because it happens every f***in time I play the game, at the exact same moments of gameplay. Stop spewing bulls**t and fix this broken piece of trash.

I don't think a patch is coming people. Bioware can't replicate the problem...
It is a pity really, seeing this magnificent game being hampered by audio glitches, really ruins the experience when you can't enjoy the dialogue...

Is it possible that this issue is console related or something to do with how many games/add ons a person has on their PS3 system? (are PS3 system plagued by the similar issue as windows system where the more stuff you add/delete on the system it starts to slow down/fall apart)

In other words if one were to start with a new hard drive and install setup ME2 as the only game would the issue go away?

Is the QA Testing done on systems full of other games and stuff, or is the ME2 game the only install product on the test system.

I kinda doubt it. Mass Effect 2 was the second game I ran on my PS3. It has plenty of space and there's not much else on the system beyond four games.

I got the game today and I've missed the end of several convos in 3 hours of play, so somebody is telling porky pies at Bioware. Omega is especially horrific.

My system is a non BC 80GB with original HDD and around 20 GB of space left if that helps.

I am getting the same issues in audio since the 1.03 patch. I didn't have them prior.

1) Freedom's progress! The audio is out of sync when the Heavy Mech is descimating the quarians.
2) Jack's recruitment mission at the end when Warden Kurli is speaking and shooting people. The audio is out of sync there. Also when Jack escapes and kills the guards and sees the Normandy. Out of sync audio.
3) Landing on Tunchanka. The sound is muted as in a distance.
4) Samara recruitment, when Samara kills the merc, audio effect out of sync.
5) Morinth vs Samara scene. Audio effects are out of sync.
6) Texture issues in the Overlord DLC, when driving around. The vehicle is also sinking through the ground.
7) Liara's assistant on Ilium 'sitting' without a chair in Liara's office! She's meant to be at her desk outside,

Just some of the bugs that exist on the PS3 now.

I kinda wish I would get a full refund for the DLCs and the PS3 version of Mass Effect 2, just to get the xbox version or something... But yeah... Never going to happen. *sighs*

i have got to say, i am having audio cut out about 70% of the time AND I AM F**KING SICK OF IT!!!
it'sbeen what, 8 months since the game came out, and u still don't have ANY idea what the HECK is wrong with it? i probally understand if u r busy with ME3, but u can't expect anyone is going to enjoy Mass Effect 3 if Mass Effect 2 has these kind of bugs. Therefore, FIX THE BLOODY THING!!!!!!
Thanku, GOOD F*****G NIGHT!!!

It's kinda sad that something like this isn't fixed yet. What gives BioWare?

Well I have a solution that works for the audio problems, but it's a costly one... I got an OCZ Vertex 2 Series 40GB SSD (2.5", Sata 3Gb/s, OCZSSD2-2VTX40G), for 79 euros, installed it in my PS3, and now the audio problems are gone (and the loading delays as well).

Since when PS3 is compatible with ssd? That's really new to me.

Of course it is, it has an open SATA interface for 2.5 inch disks.

So a faster HDD might work?

The stock HDD is a laptop (2.5) 5400 rpm disk, which is slow. I don't know if with a 7000 rpm the performance would be much better, but with the SSD it is a lot better, and since I am not playing that many games or loading movies and songs to the PS3, the 40GB SSD was enough for me.

Yeah I upgraded my HDD awhile ago to 320 gig HDD but it's only 5400rpm (was worried about extra heat so I didn't get a 7200rpm HDD).

SSD are still abit too expensive for the there size for me.:(

Was thinking of upgrading later in the year or early next year so it might be worth a shot to go for a 7200rpm HDD to see if it helps a little at least sigh....

Didn't work for me. Anyway IT IS Bioware who should fix this problem.  We shouldn't need to resort to trial and error tricks to enjoy the game we payed for...

I bought ME 2 a few days ago for my PS3 and I experienced almost all seven bugs listed by Blackguard82.
I haven't experienced the bugs in Overlord missions because I didn't get that far yet, but I'll update this post after I play that mission..

UPDATE: After finishig Operation Overlord I can confirm all the bugs the others reported.

It seems to me that Bioware's claim that not many people are experiencing these bugs keeps getting thinner and thinner... More and more people are reporting these bugs:

1) Freedom's progress! The audio is out of sync when the Heavy Mech is descimating the quarians.
2)Jack's recruitment mission at the end when Warden Kurli is speaking and
shooting people. The audio is out of sync there. Also when Jack escapes
and kills the guards and sees the Normandy. Out of sync audio.
3) Landing on Tunchanka. The sound is muted as in a distance. No sound effects of the shuttle landing.

I have experienced all of the bugs listed by Blackguard82. I experience it on my old 40gb ps3 and am now experiencing it with my new 320gb with a brand new copy of mass effect!

I hope that this gets fixed, if it wasn't for the subtitles I wouldn't have a clue as to what was going on.

It won't. We'll have to suck it up and sell it for the Xbox 360 or the PC version... I know that I'm not getting any refund any time soon... Le gasp.

I doubt a fix is ever gona come as Bioware can't replicate all these bugs....
