Zulu and I have been predicting that ME3 would open with Shepard's trial since ME2 came out.

And now that he's right, he's b*tching about it.  He's a hoot, that boy.

Zulu argues for arguing's sake. Half of his threads are just benign trolling: he's never malicious or offensive to anything but good sense, but every once in a while he strikes upon a gem of truth.

'Shepard's Trial' and 'Cerberus is still connected to the Alliance' being two of the more plausible ones.

Another one: "Replacement" squadmates if X died.

Some of them may or may not work, depending on character. While invented characters wouldn't work well, prior-existing characters might: if we need Garrus for a story mission, for example, that Turian Female he mentioned might be justifiable (if she would appear, in a slightly different role, regardless). Grunt/Wrex would make good enough stand-ins for eachother, while Legion could be replaced by any Geth platform (if we would even notice). Add in a few others (Tali with Kal'Reegor, Thane with Koylat), and some* wouldn't be irreplaceable for story-missions.

*Mainly the ones who were already slated to be one-mission only characters.

If the reason behind Cerberus and TIM turning against Shep is a boring one. I really hope they will find some good and interesting explanation. Otherwise it's just disappoint.

If the reaper war deus-ex machine is one blunt and stupid like a separate good reaper faction, some stupid high-tech one-hit-kill reaper cannon, time travel, any this like that.

If the Rachni queen is the 'paragon' decision they decide to have haunt you as a reaction to the 'Bioware favors paragons' complaint. It would gall me to no end if, to rectify this imbalance, they chose a 'paragon' decision that isn't really paragon/renegade at all.

This is, unfortunately, not true.  I've seen him be a serious jerk to others and myself.

Yes, but that would encourage people to kill team members off, thus completely throwing off the point of ME2.  Also, remember Wreav?  Do not want.

Anyway, I promised no debating.  I'm just very opposed to the idea since it'll cheapen the old squad if the new guys are of equal or better quality or throw in a bunch of icky placeholders.  I like each character to be unique, thanks.

If the deus ex machina is a virus.....
If quarians are furries....
If the ending is too short ( Lord of the rings ROTK had a REALLY long epilogue but if Bioware puts that kind of effort into it I would very satisfied)
If humans are "chosen ones"....
If TIM has a special connection with Shepard (We don't need it to go down that path, can't we just develop the antagonist like good novels do?)

AND finally: If Joker, the funny pilot, dies.... (DONT YOU $&%*ing DARE BIOWARE)!

ME3 would be a total bust if ...

1) The choices you make really do not impact game and outcome.

2) If the choices translate to - paragon choices = good outcome / renegade choices = bad outcome

3) Your LI is just a blip on the game play (really possible if you did not pick VS or Liara)

4) Female Shepard still walks like a man

5) Continues to "flirt icky" with Jacob despite him not being her LI

Really noticeable when wearing the dress.

I can live with being Shep being a crappy dancer but could she walk and sit like a girl?

What about General Williams? He can't have been in the navy.

Besides, Captain Sanders just doesn't make me hungry for Kentucky Fried Chicken.

This is what the Codex is for:

Systems Alliance: Military Ranks

The Alliance uses a modified version of the ranking system that has been used for hundreds of years. Soldiers are classified into rank-and-file enlisted personal, experienced non-commissioned officers (NCOs), and specially trained officers.

The divide between naval personnel and ground forces ("marines") is small. Ground units are a specialized branch of the fleet, just as fighter squadrons are. This unity of command is imposed by the futility of fighting without control of orbit; without the navy, any army is pointless. The marines, as a matter of pride, maintain some of their traditional rank titles; for example, marines have Privates and Corporals instead of Servicemen.

In ascending order of responsibility, the ranks of the Alliance are:

ENLISTED

    * Serviceman 3rd class/Private 2nd class
    * Serviceman 2nd class/Private 1st class
    * Serviceman 1st class/Corporal

NCOs

    * Service Chief
    * Gunnery Chief
    * Operations Chief

OFFICERS

    * 2nd Lieutenant
    * 1st Lieutenant
    * Staff Lieutenant
    * Lieutenant Commander
    * Staff Commander
    * Captain/Major
    * Rear Admiral/General
    * Admiral
    * Fleet Admiral

Sorry.  No Colonel Sanders for you!  Or soup.

#1 - Computer virus, I'll lose my s***
#2 - Reapers suddenly become pushovers and Shepard can juggle five while simultaneously destroying the rest
#3 - A journey to the center of the galaxy to find God, who turns out just to be an evil giant talking head. Anyone? Anyone?

If Ashley/Kaidan is a Spectre.
If TIM turns out to be related to Shep or another human squad member.
Weddings and/or children.
All paragon choices having good consequences and all renegade choices having bad consequences.
Compensating for stupid and/or careless decisions instead of making you regret them.
Forced squad member (or Shepherd) deaths.

If Garrus is NOT a Squad Member
If Joker ever dares to stop beeing sarcastic
If the Normandy SR-2 is blown up in the beginning of ME3
If aliens develop an urge for wigs
If the Reapers win the war
If Jack still has to be a Squad Member
Hell I could continue this list without end, but enough for now *g*

Just look at how Femshep runs and sprints while inside the Normandy. She looks like an NFL quarterback running in full gear.
