Hmpf. For a thread meant to be funny this kinda turns me off quite rapidly.
While I believe that Aria would never work for someone else, rather than being queen of Omega, I think Shiala would make an excelent squad member. Gianna is a difficult case, for she isn't really a combatant and she doesn't seem to like violence, but she has skills that would certainly be useful for Shepard, so she might well make an alright crew member, if not a squad member. How anyone would come to believe that a soldier from Tali's unit makes a better squad member than one of Lady Benezia's commandos eludes me. Yes, she has an unhealthy obsession for Shepard, but she has also proven outstanding skill and compassion and she is currently in a position where her commando skills lay wasted. Kal'reegar has certainly proven skill and loyality, but he's a soldier bound to the flotilla and has yet to prove that level of compassion.
My beef with Shiala isn't the fact that she's an asari commando, or even that she's less exciting than a frozen squirrel carcass; it's that she cannot be accessed by a very large group of gamers, so it's not really fair. Yes, I believe in showing mercy towards the PS3 people. For someone who plays on PC, that's virtually blasphemy, but I figured
someone had to stand up for them.
If you make threads about how idiotic you find the ideas of others you must not be surprised if people get a little antsy and this disclamer makes it even worse. It's kinda like saying: "I am calling you all idiots, yet I don't want to argue about it. You just are."
You're allowed to disagree, but if you think there's a legitimate debate point, start a thread about it. I just don't want this thread to get bogged down with hostility, you know?
For example, somebody says, "If the Mako is back in ME3 I will kill you all," you can totally reply, "I like the Mako, and if it doesn't return, I blame this guy." Or something.
Think of it as a "rage and run" thread--you b*tch to your heart's content, then proceed to act like a normal human being everywhere else.
