So I am making a Hawke Costume and show it here in my video

Dragon Age 2 Cosplay Vlog

I got some pictures of it too. I am making the Superior Plate Armor you can get from the begining of the game. Doing a Warrior version. I also am still in the process of making a wooden Grey Warden Sword for my costume. I show that as well in the video. n_n I hope you guys like it. Still got more work to do it but I can't wait till it's finished. Female Hawke is so COOL!! I baught her black short wig too. I forgot to show that. I can post some pictures soon.

GingerAnne

:Edit: At 1:29 I start showing the sword and armor so far. For those who want to skip through the first minute and a half. :)

Looks like it will be fantastic! Thanks for sharing this, please keep us updated on your progress. I have a few friends who work on wardrobe and costumes for films and it's always fun to go with them to Western Costume in Burbank and watch them get crazy while they work.

And I'm surprised how much you already resemble FemHawke! Can't wait to see a pic with the wig.

Thank You Naughty :) *blush* I am hoping to have it fully complete within the next couple weeks. I will post pictures up of the finished sword and costume when it's finished. I love female hawke. Bioware did a wonderful job making such a cool female lead character. n_n She's tough and pretty. Huge fan of Bioware. In honor of their work, I shall be attending conventions around the area and hopefully hanging with other fun DA fans.

Michigan has a Shuto-con (dont quote me on the name) every year, dunno if you ever been to/heard of it. We were going to go this year but opted out because it was either Shuto-con, or Disturbed on their Music as a Weapon tour lol.

lol Not heard of Shuto-Con. Sounds like it could be cool tho. I would so go if I could. I am in the New England Area. I attend a lot of New England Conventions like Pax East, Anime Boston and sometimes out in Baltimore or Florida when I got the extra cash. lol.

If you can make it, I highly recommend Comic Con in San Diego in July.

I'm sure you will be a big hit.

If we had went, I was going to try and make either a ME type costume or Naruto,  but not alot of characters in either with long black hair (that I'd care to cosplay as lol) and Im sure as crap not cutting my hair lol

Naughty, Man, it's been a dream to go to Comic Con in San Diego. But probably not this year. Maybe next year. I'll see if I can bring over my dragon age costume and wear it there. That would be loads of fun.
Lol Aradace so true... best not to cut your real hair. I love long hair on both male and females.

yes, I attend each year and Comic Con is a blast. It shouldn't be too hard for you to get a free industry pass and lodging is not very expensive in San Diego.

Bioware usually has a large presence, in fact last year they let us play the DA2 demo about 1 year early.

That's great to hear - I'm sure you will have a blast.

I'd suggest to move quickly regarding getting an industry pass as the regular badges are already sold out.

Thanks for sharing GingerAnne :)

I dig the sword and the armor especially. I can't wait to see it all finished up so keep us updated please!

I'm actually starting to work on my first cosplay (also Dragon Age) and it's challenging+difficult so I have crazy respect for the effort and skill put into what you're doing.

Love the vid Ginger!

According to my house mates if I dyed my hair black and put blue contacts in I'd look very much like the default version of lady Hawke. It's only because coincidentally I have the hairstyle. Can I dye my hair (AND MY EYES) and come with you?

Hehe, I kid, I'm stuck in England currently. But one day I will make it to a convention!

Valadras, n_n Thank you!! And If you need any ideas or tips on your costume, feel free to ask. I made a tutorial on how to make that sword i made in the video. I am still finishing it up but I made a full on video tutorial from start to finish, cutting it out of wood and everything. So I can share that with you if your interested. I got to put the video clips together. Probably in a couple weeks I can have that finished n_n I can't wait to see your dragon age costume so when you complete it, feel free to post it here. Dragon Age costumes are so fun! I love the characters so much that I love seeing them come to life through people who dress up as them.

Pentan, LOL wow all the way out in England. Awesome!! And if you were around here, I would so love you to join in on my Dragon Age cosplay fun at a con any day lol. When you do eventually get to go to a convention, you'll love it. And there is a big convention in London I believe it's called London Expo Anime Convention or something like that lol. But there you could show off your awesome cosplay and meet other fun DA people in person. Look up game conventions or Anime Conventions in your area. Good Luck!

Naughty, LMAO@!! That is just wrong in so many ways. I would love to know someone actually played the game fully through with that character. hahaha... I just changed my original female hawke character to look like the default Hawke because she's just so cool and that hair is awesome.

@ Ginger, I actually meant to ask you about that tutorial for the swords, I didn't see a link included with your vlog :P So yeah, when you finish it I'd love to see that :) Because I know how I'm going to do my armor but I have no idea what to do about the sword >.<

In regards to my project it's probably gonna be a while before I make noteworthy progress. It's my first one and I'm still drafting patterns for the armor, but I know I can do it.

Btw, I'm gonna cosplay my warden from Origins (My avatar) except I'm doing my own custom version of his Blood Dragon Armor which I've designed to match the Dragon Age 2 art style. So it's kinda a DA:O and DA:2 cosplay :P I could PM the concept art to you when I finish coloring it up in photoshop, if you like.

Maria, Thank you!! n_n It's a big dream for me. <3 So I am very happy. A lot is coming up. Can't wait to finish this costume tho. n_n haha.. Then I can relax over the summer. lol
