I downloaded ME2 yesterday as "sequel celebration".
The game "crashes" my graphics totaly, I'm able to play the game only with 800x600 res on my 22 inch monitor. :(
I have no problems playing DA:O or DA2 fullscreen, tried every possible configuration, nothing works. It doesn't matter if I play with low or high settings, once I try a higher resolution than 800x600 the monitor gets black after a few minutes of gameplay and I have to restart my PC. (Have no mods or DLC only the 1.02 patch, it crashed before patching too.)

My card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 230.
(Win 7 32-bit, DirectX 11, Intel Core i5 CPU - 750  @ 2.67GHz, 2GB RAM)

Please help a poor noob if U can. :innocent:

You are using a notebook GPU which are generally a lot weaker than their desktop counterparts so you may have problems due to this however you may have some luck updating your graphics drivers.

Your card is a little bit weak in comparison to card recommended for maximum settings.

I've never heard of the GT230 besides the notebook intergrated model. I wasn't even aware they made a desktop version.

In any case what are your GPU heat readings like when playing the game?

The GT 230 was available as an "OEM" only variation of the GT 220.  The difference was very small between the retail 220 and the OEM card, and as already noted, it's comparatively Low End for this game (it is "above the minimum").  It requires either low screen resolution settings or low image quality settings in order to avoid bogging down when there are multiple NPCs in view at once, and by itself, it shouldn't cause a "freeze", but rather some herky-jerky low FPS sometimes, if it isn't set correctly to suit its capabilities.

Well, I don't care about high settings, I just need a higher resolution, because the text is so small...barely readable for me. And I just don't get why I can have high set. + low res. but not low. set. + high res. :pinched:
And yes the comparison is interesting, I can see the "stars" but that only tells me, that people buy it a lot, (maybe it's cheaper?) but what tells me the tab below? Isn't my card just as good?

Resolution is the biggest back-breaker for a (almost) low end, comparatively inexpensive device. The higher the resolution, the larger the number of pixels to manipulate, and cheaper hardware runs out of power quickly, past just a few thousand of those pixels. If you were stateside, you could replace that inexpensive card with something decent for no more than about $60 or so (the GT 220 can be found for about $45, and even less, looking for rebates, and stepping up just those few dollars more beyond that gets far more performance per dollar.

There's a GT 440 for $60 after rebate at Newegg:

That particular one is the "good" 440, with the correct GDDR5 RAM on it.  Just like the GT 240, however, there is also a Low End version, that only had plain DDR3 on it (lots slower).
