DA3 all char building is gone, and dialogue is simplified even further. You play as Sandal and your romance options include Barkspawn.

I don't want Hawke as the main hero again. Not that he was bad as a character to play, but I can't imagine something more spectacular to happen for him in Dragon Age 3. He could be a nice villain, antagonist or a companion though. IMO, Morrigan's son or the warden are far more interesting as protagonists in a new Dragon Age game.

I think I'd rather play as Elmo wielding a claw hammer than Hawke.

Actually, I think I read somewhere that this is the first DLC for DA2...?

I think the worst thing would be to not try to connect the events of the two games into one narrative. Hawke was a radical departure from The Warden and the first game in general. If the Fifth Blight and the subsequent mage-templar rebellion aren't connected, then the third game will make everything we've done so far irrelevant, and all of the teasing about immense changes and Hawke's incredible significance will be invalidated.
In other words, I think it's time we see what Flemeth and Morrigan are really up to. Anything else would just feel like BW is yanking us around.

On another matter, I'm not opposed to playing as the OGB, though it's been stated over and over it's not canon. I think there are ways to get around that, but I know a lot of people would view that as BW pseudo-invalidating player choice. I think its significance, while unknown, is great, and I think it at least needs to be further explored.

To be quite honest, that doesn't sound bad at all.

I think not having a new PC would be a bad idea. Its quite clear Hawke and the Warden have vanished.

I would like to see our main character maybe being of the Qunari race(Whatever the race is actually called). But i feel strong potential with that race and I dont think its farfetch to think Flemeth has influence with them as some sorta God or something.

That would be enough to make me cancel a pre-order.

Would still be better than Dragon Age 2 (by far), just due to having Morrigan present.

The OGB will definitely have a big role that's for sure, but that should be saved for DA4 or DA5.

You'll be a Seeker in DA3. The story will play out something like this. Cassandra wants to keep searching for Hawke, but the Divine won't give her permission until she's decided on a successor. There are two candidates and the player character ends up helping one of them win the Divine's approval (similar to the Orzammar quest in Origins) so that Cassandra can get permission to leave Val Royleaux  But while you're dicking around doing that, the Divine is assassinated and Fereldan is implicated in the murder, which forces the Queen to declare war. CLIFFHANGER!

Mage/Templar war? Oh that was decided years ago - mages all went back to the circles - Templars said it was alll a big misunderstanding. You start as a new character <Dragon Age 9.50> trying to earn money to buy a ship cause you always dreamed of being a pirate.

Heh, after the absolute drivel that was the DA2 plot, I'd take another Blight anyday, as long as it was as well done as DA:O's was (arguably, the focus of that game wasn't really the Blight anyway - that was just a context for the real story).

But to play along in good spirits with the theme of this thread, my 'worst' DA3 plot (note: Mocks DA2)

Because Bioware really want you to become familiar with the locales in DA3, and really see how they change over time, the entirety of DA3 will be set inside a single house. There will be 5 rooms, and at one point in the game, for about 10 minutes, you will get to go out into the backyard.

Because the game will be a very 'personal' story, Bioware don't want to get all bogged down with other characters and their problems, thus the PC will be the only character in the entire game.

In an effort to 'streamline' the game further, seeing as DA2 clearly (by its rapidly declining sales) didn't get it right, DA3 will remove combat entirely. Instead, the PC will have to get a mundane job and work for his/her experience and money.

Speaking of which, in the interests of keeping the 'unique' look of the PC, you will not be able to equip him/her with anything at all. Their default appearance is all you get.

When the PC is having one of their many conversations with themself, you will get a dialogue wheel, with each dialogue option represented by an emoticon. Who needs words anyway?

Quests will involve things such as:

* Earn 50 sovereigns
* Clean the kitchen
* Eat

...

This is beginning to sound like a less flexible version of the Sims...I'd better stop.

At any rate, the basic idea is, if they take any of the changes they made in DA2, and go further with them for DA3, I at very least will not be a happy camper.

You play as an elf who escapes Kirkwall during the mage-templar conflict to Orlais where the elves and dwarves are in conflict with humans. After briefly meeting Flemeth who hands you a strange amulet, you rise to power to become the Guardian of Orlais. Sandal randomly appears in the middle of the game and kills a horde of darkspawn refugees. At the end of the game, Leliana appears for a cameo and comments that the Warden, the Champion and the Guardian are all still missing.

You mean as in opposed to 'This DLC will add 1 hour of content for only 9.99'?

You play as the Warden and Allistair's child (why not, she's only been infected for a short time). You meet up with the Champion's child from his LI in DA:2 and you go to find your half-brother/sister the Old God Baby. The three of you, and Zevran, (because I love him, shut up this is my fantasy) trek across the globe to find the true origins of the Qunari because you need an army to invade Orlais.Sten is now the leader (and you notice, during several asides, that you and Sten bear a striking similarity to each other) and is more than happy to help, in that grumpy way Sten helps. You kick the Orleasian's butts, step through this strange mirror you find in the Queen's bedchamber, and as you step through it, you can hear Sandal saying "ENCHANTMENT!" - roll credits....

"Only this time, it's TWO archdemons instead of one!" :o

That would be very painfull... we need two warden now.

I think continuing with Hawke or bringing back the Warden would be a mistake. I want to see more of Hawke, but in DLC, not a new game.

I'm hoping that DA3 skips ahead 5-10 years or so, and gives us a new protagonist forging his own legend amidst the chaos of the Mage/Templar war.

I just have this feeling its going to be Orlais. Alistair hints to a war with them, Bodan and Sandal talk about going there... and everyone knows where ever those two end up... is where the action is LOL
