I'm sure this is nothing terribly unique, and that others have had much the same sorts of thoughts, but I probably miss a lot of them because they're buried in long and busy threads I don't follow.
So, share your DLC pipe dreams.
Mine, from the comm creations thread:
I actually got the impression that there might have been a lot of companion dialogue that ended up cut due to the rushed release of the game. Which is a pity because, yeah, surely after the feedback Bioware received on Awakening, which made it very clear that people wanted MORE companion interaction, not less, they had to know these relationships would be less satisfying with such limited contact with the companions.
I'd love to see a DLC that actually adds more of those sorts of scenes into the game, the stuff that maybe isn't necessary to the plot but is necessary to immersion. I'm willing to bet a lot of it was written, and got the cut due to time constraints. Again, I would assume it would be a HUGE money-maker to finish that content and release it as a DLC.
In my fantasies, there will be DLC that contain companion quest/interactions that fall into the "missing" 3-year stretches between Acts 1-2 and Acts 2-3. Let's SEE some of that "aching for you" Anders between Acts 1 and 2, or some domesticity between Acts 2 and 3.
Ideally, such a DLC would contain a drama/action-type quest for the companion and a personal interaction scene (whether friend or romance.) So it would add three cutscenes:
Quest-giving scene
Quest completion scene
Personal interaction (friendship or Act 1 UST/Act 2 romance scene.)
In DAO, DLC tended to be one quest/DLC pack, so I can see there being 6 of these, one for each default companion (Varric, Isabela, Aveline, Merrill, Fenris and Anders) between Acts 1 and 2, and six more between Acts 2 and 3.
(Hey, money guys? This would be a GOLD MINE. It could be done utilizing almost all the existing models and zones, all it would require was the voice acting.)
Ideally, these packs would slot into the game itself, like The Wardens Keep or The Stone Prisoner, rather than being accessed outside the main narrative of the game (Leliana's Song, Witch Hunt) so that you could play them in the course of your playthrough seamlessly and they would serve to build immersion within the playthrough itself.
The biggest problem I can see is that it would require a change to Varric's "entracte" narration that clearly delineates the acts.
