Starship Troopers!

Wait is that right? No no no all these alien bugs look alike.

But it's probably fair to assume the Xenomoprhs will aide the Reapers. Which means if we don't get the help of the Predators we're screwed. Also Admiral Hackett is an Android; which means he has white blood... which means he's Geth!

Ashley, because she's black and white. But maybe both, now that I think about it.

Ashley always advises you against freeing the Queen.

No. Take her and Wrex.

What does she say then?

The general 'I don't think we should commit genocide' bit.

Mass Effect 1 gives the 'squadmate views' on a Paragon-Renegade Axis, in which the more 'Paragon' gives the Paragon answer and the more Renegade gives the Renegade answer.

The most Renegade characters, IIRC, are Wrex, Renegaded Kaiden, and Ash, in that order. Renegade Kaiden might be more Renegade than Wrex for all other decisions, and I don't remember where Renegade Garrus falls.

Seriously? Kaidan can become that renegade?

Anyway, part of my thinking was indeed along the "old TVs are penguins" line, so the whole Ashley's advice factor
with its flaw "Ashley can be paragon if Wrex is present" comes second to that. To clarify: given the vibe of other L'Etoile's writing for the series, I don't think he thought of the Rachni outside of the "Bugs" stereotype, which is also supported by the plausible speculation that the name "Rachni" is a result of trimming Heinlein's "Arachnids" at both ends, and that the Rachni Wars and the ME1 Rachni-related sidequests are tribute to Starship Troopers, the movie. And Peak 15 has clear references to Alien 4. So there is simply no redemption in the Rachni.

It's like the good bible says - penguins will take over the world.

Making this kind of assumption because of the sources that served as inspiration seems very farfetched.

Not like your actual "proof" is any better, so you may as well use the poll.

Zulu_DFA, if leaps of logic were an Olympic event, you'd have more medals than Mark Spitz.

Spitz was a swimmer, not a diver.  Then again, the logic disconnect is very Zulu-esque.

That Asari agent for the Rachni on Illium seemed to suggest something more beneficial for those who saved the queen.

Ash is usually right about everything.

So killing the Queen which Ash advises 83% of the time is the best choice

Ash was right that the Council would abandon humans. The Council claimed humans need to fix their own problems with the missing colonists.

The COuncil sends SHepard to his death fighting the Geth at the begginning of ME2.  Shepard was becoming a nuisance and no longer served their personal interests

Ash was right that the Alliance needs to strengthen itself and stop bending over for the Council.
In ME2 the Alliance can't properly act on the abducted Colonies.lack of manpower or overwhelming responsibility.

Deal. Your bottle of Serrice Ice Brandy will look nice on top of the 2 million cookies I'm getting after I successfully import a file with all 12 ME2 squadmates dead to ME3.

Well, and it seems she's going to get her "I told you so" moment about Cerberus in ME3.

Eh, as said before the squadmate that advises against the rachni queen is the one with the most renegade. Which was funny listening to how some of the paragon squaddie's advocate killing off the council.
