from what i have seen graphicswise, there isnt that much of a difference between them. HOWEVER you should not that the console versions plays out diffrently from the PC, to put it shot the PC version involves more strategy and you can zoom fully out, the console version have been toned to more of an actiongame. I had the option to go PC or 360 and i went PC for this reasons.



1. I like the controlls better, mouse and key board feels more at home to me

2. I heard the PC game was harder, and involved more tactical aspects then the cosoles ones

3. you can download the dragon age tool and create your own stuff, while i dont know how hard or diffucult this tool is to use, and there is a possibilty i will never create something of use, iwanted to have the option open to download mods ad atleast try out the DA:O tool. who knows ********spoler aleart********** some one mayby willl creat a story arc for the super man referece from the DLC content.

There is a HUGE descrepency in graphics, please. I have the PS3 and PC version. Every site except console fanboyish gametrailers noted a big diffference with PC being clearly ahead. The textures alone look terrible on console compared to PC.

well i have played both the 360 version ( my friend has it) and my PC version, and i run the game at high 1650x1050( i think), no aa mind you, and tbh from my perspectiv, and yes the graphics are better on the PC, but IMO, unless you really can max DA:O out, the differnce is by all means not "HUGE". However it worth to note that the360 version, did have a slightly worse drawing distance, and some pop in textures, but other then that it seamed pretty nice( dont know if this concerns PS3 version tho). But when it comes to pop in textures im kind use to it when it comes to console games anyways =P but the end of the day only the OP can decide whats best for him , so id recomend him to check video game sites for comparisons.

I have the PS3 version and i love it, my PC is crap, but even if it was good i prefer controller over mouse and keyboard so i would still play it on the console, the only real big difference in game play between the two is the fact you can have that top down view on the PC which is really nice and i don't understand why it wasn't included in the console version, all you would need to do is press down the right analog stick.



As for graphics sure its quite a bit better on pc, but not FAR superior, i have seen both as well as my friend has a high end PC, but the fact remains in order to get the best out of your PC you have to shell out A LOT of money and Constantly upgrade(meaning spending more money) a lot more than you ever would have to with a console, and PC's are fine if you really only like 2 types of games, PCers cannot argue that PC has more choice when it comes to gaming, thats just absurd, consoles are more popular therefore they have more 3rd party support therefore they have more games being made for them, therefore no matter how many are crap, there will be a larger amount of quality games and a larger variety of games on consoles versus PC, fact, you cant argue it.

Console versus PC
Playing on the PS3 after finishing the PC version, I felt hamstrung by the console interface. Yes, it can be played on console and it works, but after playing it on PC, you more then feel hamstrung by the scaled back inetrface. I ask again, did you play it on PC? It is vastly better for many reasons, the control scheme being one of them.

Once again, your acceptance of a lesser control scheme, or lower standards, is clouding your judgement.  All these reviewers are lying for no reason? I played both, you obviously have not, there is a big difference.

Firstly, this is the FIRST time you've asked me if I've played it on the PC; and the answer to that is no, I haven't. If I'd wanted to play it on the PC I would have chosen that format rather than the 360 version.

Secondly, if the reviewer you have quoted had not made it so obvious they have no concept whatsoever of the distinction between a bumper and a trigger on the 360; I might just have been inclined to take s/he's comments a tad more seriously. As it stands however, I can only suggest that they really must try harder.

And lastly, if you have actually played D.A:O on a console you will know that everything that is accessible on the PC (in the form of icons) is every bit as accessible on the consoles on either the radial menu, or the face buttons. If you persist in denying that simple fact, then you are deluding yourself. So I ask again, just where exactly is this compromise of the cut-down UI that you keep harping on about?

No, you do not need a lot of money nor constantly upgrade, learn some facts. my PC is 3 years old, playign dragn age on 1680 X 1050, 4 aa MAX, smooth as butter. A gaming PC is dirt cheap these days.

2  types of games? Are you a moron? Almost all console games are on PC, plus shooters, strategy and RPG are better on PC, along with simulation. Try playing Arma on console,LMAO. You have zero clue what you are talking about. There are a tonne of racing gams on PC, live for speed, GTR that are more sim then Gran turismo or Forza, plus it gets most multi-plat games. Anything a console a PC can do, gamepads? Check, K/M? PC only, Mods? PC only.

Dont let facts get in the way of ignorance.

The price of gaming on Pc is a huge myth spread by ignorant console fanboys. A 500 Pc can be built that can outpace a console, and name one 300 console that does all a PC does?
you're a moron, the PC game library dwarfs both 360 and PS3 combined.

Pconsole versions are not as accessible, there is a lto more menu navigation die to a lack of quick slots, less tactical combat.

i have both versions, but have been prefering the PS3 version. Mainly as my game/theater room is just sweet.

Initially I had a little bit of a difficult time adjusting to this style of game on PS3. (BGII fan here...) However, once I overcame this, the game on PS3 just became fun for me. I enjoy what the game offers and combat is still challenging.

I started playing the game on normal, and now its all about nightmare. On nightmare, the trash mobs are still trash mobs. All the boss fights are fun, fulfilling, and I feel a sense of accomplishment.

I also have both versions of the game. From my perspective, PC is a little bit more involved tactically. You have more minute control over party members and can zoom the camera out and look over the whole battlefield. Like in BGII. On the PS3 of this game, you can only get that 3rd person view, you can pause action, and look around from the perspective of each party member and that is the best you are gonna get. If that is ok with you, then you really are not missing anything.

PC Battles also seem to throw a few more enemies at you. I think the PS3 Bosses are tougher than PC. A few abilities don't work the same way either between the systems. Like on the PS3, your summoned Ranger Animals, you can't control them, activate their abilities etc.

The graphics on the PC are better than the PS3, which I would rate as excellent.

All the games you mentioned earlier that are great for the PC were only shooters, strategy and RPG, and the pc does not get half the amount of games as the consoles more than half the games on consoles do not reach the PC as they are either PS3, 360 or exclusive only to consoles, and my computer is not a gaming pc and it cost more than 500 bucks, i dont even have a graphics card and i can't play didly, i would be looking at at least 1000 to get a decent gaming PC i HAVE looked into it.

There are a FEW games i would like to play on PC that are not on consoles, but there are a lot MORE games on consoles i want to play that will not or are not for the PC.
