I just bought a new copy of Mass Effect 2 for the PS3 today, and as I've been hit by a few weird bugs since starting up the game, I figured I'd list the problems I've encountered. Should I encounter any more, I'll post updates as I go--to facilitate patch cohesion, as Legion would say.

As the title says, all DLC that's currently available has been installed, including the Cerberus Pack, Arrival, Appearance Pack 2, and everything in that bundle they have on the PSN (Appearance Pack 1, Terminus and Collector armor, etc.).

I haven't played overmuch at this point in time--I played up to the point where I've gained control of the Normandy SR-2 and my first stop was the Citadel, which is where my game is presently paused.

First point: During my initial test-play, prior to actually installing any DLC other than the Cerberus Pack, I elected to save Kaiden as a female Shepard and a later reference to this during the comic's monologue mentioned Ash as being the squadmate left behind--I assume this relates to the "can't save Kaiden" bug I've seen mentioned elsewhere.

Second point: the game seems to simultaneously think Anderson and Udina are the Human Councilor in my male Shepards saved-the-Council run. Ken from Engineering referenced "that weasel Udina" backsliding on the Reaper menace, and my meeting with Councilor Anderson ended with Udina walking in a scolding his "advisor"--but Anderson himself, the e-mail you receive from him, and the codex on the Rise of the Alliance all say Anderson is the Councilor and that Udina is the advisor.

Third point: there have been a few glitches during dialogue, a line or two cutting short before finishing. It hasn't happened too frequently (not yet, anyway), but I suppose it deserves mention. I've noticed one or two momentary animation glitches, like little split-second spaz attacks, as well.

EDIT 1: Upon further exploration of the Citadel, I found that the shopkeep at Rodam's Expeditions on Level 28 is hostile, as if I'd let the Council die, even though I chose to save them during the comic and had in fact just left a meeting with the Council with my Spectre status re-instated. So not only is the game confused about who's Councilor, it's confused about whether the original Council is alive at all. This is fantasmic.

EDIT 2: Oh, and that stupid news reporter thinks I sacrificed the Council. I slugged her in the face for being so glitchy.

This seems worse since the patch.  I noticed Zaeed doing it and I've talked to him a ton and never once heard his lines cut off.  Post patch and now they are.

And I have a new save I made post-patch.  Unfortunately I am one of the unlucky NA users who has the comic problem.  Saved Kaiden.  On shuttle to station, he's dead.  Later on, was doing something and he was alive.  If this were my first playthrough, I'd be pretty ticked, but it being my fifth makes it not so bad (in fact, I'd like to see how this save imports into ME3, lol).

Also, incidentally, playing the game right now (just was posting something to a friend on Facebook before I went back) and my Kasumi looks like this at the moment (apologies for the quality...been very sick and don't want to mess with the PC that has the cap card on it):

What are you wearing, Kasumi?

Not anywhere near as annoying as the glitch that gets me stuck in mid-air when I try to vanguard charge robot dogs (to a point where I don't bother trying anymore).  I honestly have no idea what happened to Kasumi, though O_O  Maybe that's Zaeed's revenge on her for the "You two look nervous" comment she made earlier :-p

The latest patch caused issues with all choices you made in the Genesis comic, but a fix is on the way, and will be retroactive, so your current Shepard will be fixed once it's out. The game should revert back to the correct choices you made.

I encountered the same problems you are describing while I was at the Citadel. On level 28, in addition with the hostile Turian, there was also the "newswoman" who declared that I let the Council die. Ironically, at the Presidium, the members of the Council thanked me for having saved them. However, on the other levels, the shopkeepers (two asari and a salarian) considered me as a hero.

Yeah i doubt its going to be retroactive. There would be no way for it. NPCS and missions are effect by dialog, inturn the dialog is effect by the choices you made in the comic. Even so you would still have to play the game over again if your going to load your char up into mass effect 3. We have no ideal what effect is going to happen because of this giltch when trying to load the data. Just for the smiple fact that ME3 is coming out at the end of this year. Meaning either 1) Theres not going to be a patch to fix this, just because that means that ME3 game engine and matrix will have to be updated for this new patch during Char transfer. Or 2) They our going to do this meaning major game release delays and millions sunk into fix two games at once. I cant see it either way being retroactive just because of it. There going to make the patch and your going to have to play the game over again. Or take the chance that your char will not be able to transfer over. Its that smiple really.

From what we've heard from Jesse, it will be retroactive. The issue is that the appropriate flags are set but not all things used those flags for some reason (or something like that). So a fix WOULD be retroactive in that case.

Why would they state state that it's going to be retroactive if it won't?

Some dialogues have been skipping a lot in my first playthrough as a male adept, it's really annoying. I really hope BioWare will fix this soon...

After hearing about all these bugs and glitches in the new patch I held back and left it unpatched so far I had no serious problems at all in my game maybe a few trophy problems, but very minor.

The unpatched version is indeed much better in terms of  frame rate inconsistencies and audio issues (sync problems are present but audio cuts are missing) and the Genesis glitch is also missing. You must not forget though that the unpatched version has more crashes (crucial instability issues) and possible corruption data (if you play for a long time). But I agree with you that the unpatched version gives you a much better mass effect experience.

I heard about those, I expected some kind of serious issue, but so far I been very lucky  almost 30 hours in and no problems so far.
