I may be a dwarven, ginger mischief maker with an axe, a liking for ale and a gruff voice, but secretly, when no-one's around i like wandering through forests and picking flowers. I used to chase butterflies but i'm getting older, and this armour gets heavier by the day and sends out showers of sparks if i sit down too fast. I am a warrior, there's no doubt about that. Just ask that those pigs that i set upon when i got booted from the inn at 3 o'clock this morning, but i'm looking for reassurance (especially as everything i read about the adventure i'm about to undertake talks combat combat combat) that my lust for being lost will be satisfied.
Boxumbagum.
Please tell me it's not all about the combat.

The game has been described by developers as "Sword Porn".
Combat plays a large part of the game, but I doubt you'll be let down on the other aspects of the game. This game, from what I heard, is first and foremost about story. There is crafting, exploration, and everything you could want. I'm not sure about being lost, I think the levels are pretty linear. But there are a lot of them and a lot of choice on where you go. (from what I've heard)

There's a lot of combat, but there's also a lot of non-combat stuff. My guess is that you'll spend a lot more time in combat than in conversations, but that there's still a ton of time spent doing non-combat things. It's a huge game.

I believe it's bioware's way to play up one particular aspect of each game. In this case the combat, but in true Bioware form, I have every confidence there will be at least 8 different sex scenes and 19 hours of clicking through topics.
And I wouldn't have it any other way!

Bioware tends to focus heavily on the story. I'm sure the combat will be awesome as well, but the story is what they care about.

@Boxumbagum Love your post and I'm hoping the same thing. Be great if the combat is balanced with some lighter stuff. Knowing Bioware I'm sure it'll be fine...

I'm actually pretty excited about the combat since I saw some videos of how the PC versions will be played and you can use the nostalgic BG camera angel, which I love! Really brings me back...
Oh and uh..yeah...on topic, Bioware just doesn't make games with crappy or no story line. There is going to be a lot of crappy choices you have to make, but that just makes replaying the game so much more fun.

What!? What!?
I agree though, Bioware will find a good balance, I'm expecting that there will be a good amount of side-quests that can be handled with or without violence.
