[Jacks-Up]

If they decide to continue this Characters story how do you think they will or should do it? There are some left questions for sure depending on how you ended it but that doesn't mean they have to continue with this story especially since you can die at the end.

Well, since you become king or stay a grey warden or sacrifice yourself, i think they will do a new game but I am not agaianst an expansion if it will cover up the mess they did in the endings ^^

On one hand. There's a major part of many player characters that absolutely lacks resolution.



On the other hand. There's many part of pretty much every player character that have significant resolution that they needn't toy with it.



I want to see total resolution, so I say expansion.

I'm leaning towards expanshion as well for the sole reason it took how many years for them to make game 5-6?

Expansion will come sooner, true they could use a similar or upgraded driver but Expansion is by far the quickest rout.

idk know about expanshion but they did say somthing to the effect of 2 years of DLC if in not mistaken... and then probably a new game with a new PC probably in an other country.. that would be my guess.

I would personally rather see an expansion because I would hope that would come faster then a new game..

I personally would like to continue playing w/ the character I have (noble human, alive by the end), regardless of whether it's in the form of an expansion or a full sequel. For those with characters that got killed/etc., I guess they can always start w/ a new character (that benefits/suffers from the choices of their previous character).

There is an auto savegame once the game is finished. With a different name than the other savegame (something like "autosave end"). I guess it's for an add on or a dragon age 2, to keep track of your choices. Like mass effect1->2.
Bioware made sometimes add on (BG) sometimes new games and DLC (mass effect, jade empire). There is also an "other campaign" option in the main menu. For player created add on ? Official add on ?
Anyway, there is a lot of unanswered question. Morrigan child if you side with her, they also talk of the surviving darkspawn who where really difficult to defeat,...
So, i think it will be a dragon age 2, years, century later, with maybe some people from DA 1.

I'd love to see an expansion that could lift off after the current events, especially if you could cut/paste your character and companions into it.

I suspect this will/can be used for DLC's, they can make us travel to Orlais and the Qunari homeland and visit barbarians ect...

I just hope they'll continue with the option of some of the same companions.In my playthough for example it says Alistair barely leaves my side and Zevran tags along too at the Grey Warden fort/estate (I get the two hotties muah haha)..

The DLC will more likely be Addons like Wardens Keep that really doesn't Continue anything.

As long as they don't pull a L4D2 and just make so much DLC they decide to call it a new game, I'm okay with either direction.

I'm betting DLC. Maybe (hopefully) meatier DLC than Warden's Keep. It's too early to announce a sequel or expansion.

The end save is to let you play DLC that may come out later/after you finished the game with your favored character.  TImeline wise, it occurs before the end events.

They were probably working on a sequel or expansion before DA was even released.

If I recall, while browsing through the Mass Effect forums a while ago (months?), someone asked what the writers were doing with ME2 at this stage of the game and Patrick Weeke's spilled the beans that some people were shifting over to work on The Old Republic and Dragon Age 2. Here is the link:

I would rather have an expansion as opposed to a new game, I want to keep playing my fave character after this since I bet most people are going to have at LEAST one character live through the ending.

My expectation of an expansion would be travelling to orlesia. maybe something like a darkspawn outbreak there?

I have no idea which they'll do for Dragon Age. Probably not a continuation, but within the same universe, like KotOR 2 and NWN 2. Fantasy epics don't really lend themselves into sequelling well. I mean, what options do you really have? Hunting down the enemy you already defeated? That's epic... Maybe branch off into superheroing? you're powerful enough

The Warden:Alright, I killed the archdemon and saved the world, I'm a revered hero and have my own land and title, I have a grand place for the Grey Wardens to rebuild and another few centuries before they find another Old God to corrupt... hey! those ninjas are stealing that old man's diamonds!

I would imagine that what we can expect are more adventures you can do with your party that remains at the camp when you finish, there's that note about the adventure not being over that you get and the explanation that your further adventures will take place before the final battle. I take this to mean we will have more quests with the current characters and when that is all done it will be time for the 2nd in the series, which I suspect will have all new characters. I don't know why, but I suspect this series would have all new characters in each new game.
