Just wondering what support powers to take for him, I mean, between Rock Armor/Arcane Shield/Heroic Aura/Vengeance/Death Syphon that cuts down his mana pool greatly.
Ander Vengeance-oriented builds?

Arcane Shield and Death Syphon suck, and Vengeance doesn't seem very good unless you're a spirit healer Hawke...

Rock Armor, Heroic Aura and Haste works fine for me, with upgraded Vengeance. My Hawke is a BM/FM.

See, I don't understand how people say you get Vengeance for free from that quest, because the first time you switch Anders out of your party after that, it poofs.

the fade vengeance is tempoary, his quest, Dissent, gives the ability.

No, it just gets disabled. Whenever Justice first possesses Anders, you get the Vengeance skill regardless of whether or not you bought it, but it doesn't get added to your quick bar. When he leaves your party after that, all of his sustains get temporarily removed, but you can still access Vengeance from his ability menu. Just drag the spell icon from his specialization tree to your quick bar.

If you got it when he first possessed Anders, you'd get it after Tranquility, not Dissent.

Is he even in your party during that part of Tranquility?

Heh, and since I'm on console, that little trick apparently DOESNT last for us.

there is a difference for console users. The fade quest at the begining of act 2 only activates Vengeace, you have to remove Anders from the group to disable it. Consoles dont actually recieve the ability, for free, till after completing Dissent. Which is why the guide hes refering to was writen the way it was, universally.

Ah. I'm admittedly ignorant about the woes of console users. Thanks for the correction.
