is there any way to reset your talent points you have already put in to a char?

In Origins, no. In Awakening, you can get a tome that lets you completly re-spec your character, so you can re-apply stats, talents, and skills. "Tome of Focus" I think it's called.

And i was hoping i could in origins too, the choices i made earlier are smelly and horrible - tempest and blizzard aint helping mah arcan warrior.

Are you on pc? There are re-spec mods available.

If not, just bear with Origins long enough to get to Awakening and purchase a Manual of Focus. You'll get access to an unlimited amount of them early on.
