In Act 3 after completing Merrill's quest "A New Path",when I went to go talk to her at her home, she said she wanted me to leave and said  "Did the Keeper put you up to this?".The Keeper is dead.It seems like the quest was out of order.I downloaded the update during Act 2 when it was available.

Edit: Also, I gave Merrill the arulin'holm during the quest "Mirror Image" but later she said that I kept it from her.It didn't make any sense.
After completing the quest "Haunted", I went to Hawke's Estate and Varric followed. He stood by the fireplace and I kept clicking on him but it didn't start a cutscene. He just said his usual traveling/party dialogue.

Alright, well I'll report an actual problem now. While the graphical errors have more or less faded, I have noticed that the "cutscene bars" (The black bars we get in cutscenes) occasionally are affected by the closest graphic assets.

Example 1: When talking to Aveling and Wesley for the first time, the smoke in the horizon will bleed onto the top black bar.

Example 2: When talking to Varric about the deep roads entrance, his fireplace's flames will show through the bottom black bar.

Having the same problem. Have an HDTV purchased within the past six months. Anders/Meredith eyes are in the right spots now, but it seems like if there is any flame in a cut scene, I am having flames behind (i.e.above and below the frame itself). Not game breaking...but weird.

Also my dog is doing...I don't know what. He won't move sometimes at all, and often he just disappears. This was really noticeable in Act 1, and I've just begun Act 2 and it seems like it might have resolved? Not sure yet.

I've noticed this too (I have an SDTV). Sometimes there are black bars, sometimes gray ones or sometimes the screen is fine. It's like instead of flickering or squishing the bars pop on and off (which I hate that they decided to letterbox scenes in the game to solve this problem). I also have been getting the parts of the scenes appearing through the bars. I think the fix they gave needs a little more tweaking.

Current issues, post 1.01:

Current issues that require new playthroughs (or older saves) in 1.02

- Slo-mo hawke (as well as other stat modifiers) are not retroactively fixed. The problem will not reoccur or get worse but whatever value you currently have will be stuck with you for now (there are many helpful threads about editting the save to manually fix the issue in the mean time)

So you're saying even the upcoming patch will require I pretty much start from when I got the bug (50 hours of play ago)? Or that the currebt patch doesn't fix it, BUT the upcoming patch will?

I was wondering will the import fixes with regards to awakening fix the missing finding nathaniel quest if you import a save in which he was left at a fully upgraded keep while you saved amaranthine?

Also i kinda find it odd that the last armor upgrade for varric was left on a quest that´s not available to everyone by default.

:pinched: Sorry, just a product of me copying from the PC list. On PC, the patch is 1.02 so I just missed editting both of them (its fixed now)

To answer your question though. The slo-mo issue (among many other things that were happening based on the same bug) is fixed in this latest patch but unfortunately we were not able to get a full retroactive fix in place and fully tested in time. The next patch (title update 1.02 for console) will have this retrofix in it (assuming there are not problems with it)

Are we supposed to be able to customise the presets of both female Hawke with the blood tattoo across her face and the same face without the tattoo or is it meant to be blocked? I wanted to slightly alter the standard Hawke face but found I wasn't able to. I was going to start a new thread for this buuuut figured it was best to put it here in case it's another issue.

(PS: Is the Mourning substituting itself for Consoling Words even when Bethany hasn't died going to be addressed? Had a look at the wee list at the beginning of this topic to see if it had been added. I've been known to miss things which are right in front of my face, however, so I might've overlooked it. I know I keep banging on about it but it is the reason I have shelfed the game for now.)

Default Hawke isn't supposed to be customisable, just like (if my memory serves me correctly) default Shep in Mass Effect.

I vote they change that.

I have a problem with some of the Area of Effect spells in the Force Mage skill tree for Hawke. If they are chosen from the Skill Wheel and I select the area I want to use the skill on, I will return to the wheel instead of returning to battle and casting the spell. This makes it so the techniques are never cast because no matter how many times I choose these skills from the wheel they keep on returning me to the root wheel menu. This does NOT happen when I put them on my shortcuts (ie: they work properly there).

Just completed a brand new playthrough I started post patch. The only bugs I noticed were related to... the dog. The Anders, Fenris, and Sebastian dog conversations did not fire.

edit: a couple other things:
Bethany joined the Wardens and Consoling Words didn't fire
Varric's convo about a romance interest (Isabela) didn't fire
Aveline has an important convo after she becomes Guard Captain that doesn't appear in the journal (the one with Varric asking for ownership of the Hanged Man).

Since default Hawke (and Shepard) don't use the sliders that the customizable faces do, I doubt that's possible.

Orana is still missing from act 3 if you kept her as a slave.

Um . . . I struggle to feel empathy for you on this one . . .

"My slave escaped! BioWare, track her down and return her to me!"

Are you sure it's a bug, not a Morality Tale?

Yaaaaaay!

Now, the OBVIOUS next question . . .

What's the timeframe for the Patch 1.02 for the console?

Since I really dislike replaying 50 hours of gameplay (by the time I've clocked that up, the patch'll be out I reckon) and prefer not messing with save files unless I have to (not ruling it out though- if the Patch takes too long to arrive) I'm hangin' out for Patch 1.02.

I never played Origins, so many glitches I did not see.

However, I did encounter the "Who needs saving?" glitch.

Never managed to complete the Find All Hidden Books of Magic in Act 2 either (though, to be fair, I didn't spend time obsessively searching every barrel in Kirkwall).

Also could not "enter" one of the Hidden Lairs supposedly marked on my map . . . glitch or just not the right time? Guess I'll see.

Enough rambling! Bring on the Patch 1.02!

Thanks for listening BTW BioWare Techies.

My FemShep and FemHawke will no longer assassinate the head of BioWare now.

No glitches in ME3 now, ya hear?:police:

Re; Supplier

This is *horrendous* design by BioWare's standards. The achievement itself is horribly worded, it implies it only requires one of each "variety" - not every single node in the game.
(or a "blanket check of 66" as Luke Barrett claims is the way it actually functions)

Either way, 2 playthroughs (one dedicated solely to Supplier) and still no luck. In the most recent: Isabella failed to reappear, thus no Ambrosia. Have EVERY other node except the Ambrosia. It's horrific that there's no other means of getting these nodes, especially the ones only available via Act 3 companion quests. The first playthrough, Isabella is stuck at my desk unable to be interacted with, how is this quest bug still not fixed?

Please, either change the achievement to work AS described (one of every type) or change the wording to reflect it requires every single node ingame/66 nodes. That's the least you can do.

Preferably, there need to be alternatives to getting the nodes so those who miss them aren't screwed over in this manner. The Black Emporium is not reliable, at all. I find myself with every-single-node except Ambrossia. The Emporium is useless. Even completing the game doesn't allow me to purchase it in the Emporium.

Numerous other comments about this in this thread alone: http://social.biowar...index/6497158/1

And on the subject of completing the game, yes, Epic is definatly NOT popping for people without an Origins save.

Regarding Isabella:

Can anyone help? I'm in Act 3. Isabela is stuck in Hawke's living room standing next to my writing desk. When clicked on, all she says is her usual bar room talk (do I need a bath, let's do something fun, etc.). I've tried going to the house during different times of day. I've tried clicking on her repeatedly. I've tried visiting her at the bar.

Nothing I do will trigger this, it's very frustrating as she was my main romance focus and now that option is dead to me as it's to late to pursue romances with any other character. Any word on a fix for this?

There is still a problem (at least for me) with the Isabella Act 3 quest bug. I'm referring to the bug where she appears in the mansion standing in front of the writing desk with an exclamation point over her head. Interacting with her only causes her to spam random comments - but does not initiate the quest. I'm on the Xbox 360, btw.

So far I have:

1. Completed the "On The Loose" quest
2. Rejected Merrill when she came to my home
3. Gave Isabella the second gift.
4. Started the best served cold quest
5. used the makers sigh to correct the Merrill armor bug (which changed her clothes to the romance outfit and added the missing two rune slots).

She is still standing by the writing desk with a question mark over her head. Any further ideas? And is this something Bioware is working to fix in the nest console patch (I'm playing on Xbox 360).

Have the Plot Summary Flagging issues when importing a save from DA:O>Awakening>GoA>WH been fixed.

No. Currently there are some severe disconnects from DAO > DAA which are causing some specific issues with imports in DA2. We're working on a solution to this.

If you import directly from DAO the amount of import/plotflag issues you will have will be very minimal compared to imports from Awakenings and onwards.

Luke,

While it may be too early to answer for sure, but will any fix to this issue be retroactive and apply to DA2 playthroughs already completed for console users?

Thanks

The glitch with Isabella's friendship ability Thumbs Up can still occurs when she is forcibly removed from your party. *Act II spoilers below*

As an example, when you get the quest "To Catch a Thief", you accompany Isabella to the foundry where the relic is being exchanged. As soon as you enter, she leaves your party in a cutscene. At this point, the Thumbs Up ability is still present on Hawke, even though Isabella is not in the party.

In addition, I saved and loaded subsequent saves after this point and the Thumb's Up ability is still there.

As far as I can tell with the way the fix is being implemented you should be safe as long as you haven't triggered anything for the specific flags yet. I suspect this will be a case by case basis but for most situations as long as you haven't started the conversations it should be fine.

To my knowledge, this shouldn't matter anymore if the buff appears to be present or not, you won't have your attack speed diminished.

I can simply confirm that I have seen no issues with this actually occurring post Patch 1. I don't like to deal in certainties simply because of the wide range of shenanigans I've seen when it comes to software.
