Also, during act 2, during the quest to save your mother, I had gascard show me to her. gamlin and the urchin are still standing there after quest completion, and when talked to launch the quest again like nothing happened. it adds the new quest, then quickly completes it.

As you can see, it appears to give me both the friendship and romance entries in one, with repeating paragraphs. This was in a playthrough where I was pursuing her romance.Isabela - The Last Three Years
Isabela's return during the Qunari crisis was surprising, most of all to Isabela, herself. She blamed Hawke for inspiring her to such foolishness, and seemed to regret exposing herself to danger. After the Arishok was killed, Isabela was seen in deep conversation with Hawke. The exchange ended as Isabela walked off, saying, "You're reading too much into it."
That was the last anyone in Kirkwall saw of her for some time. Many believed that she had left the Free Marches for good. Then, as abruptly as she had departed, Isabela appeared one day in her usual spot in the Hanged Man, drinking as though she had never been gone.

Now I know that this has been mentioned over and over and over again, but i would really like (need) the import saves issue to be fixed. For me having my save data from origins, awakening, and all the dlc (which i bought all) is imperative for my DA2 game. I even made an entire new game in origins and played through the core game and all the dlc's/expansions to get my import perfect.
So I don't really plan on making a new profile until the import bugs are fixed ( I.E. the romance data and main plot choice, and also the morrigan and Nathaniel bugs. Mainly though the morrigan romance and "witch hunt" bugs). Is there any chance these could get fixed in the next patch? If so please say, I don't mean to sound like a ****** but I really like having my save be perfect! Ya know? Anyways thanks for your time in reading this very long post. Sincerely Matthew W.
There is a problem there as unlike ME and ME2 , the "flags" for what much of what you did such as romances etc do not carry over from DA:O to DA:A, and therefore do not go over to GoA and WH, so are unavailable for import into DA2 .
The only way to fix this would be for BW to have to re-write much of Origins and Awakenings code, something I do not think they are likely to do . So will never be fixed .
They actually DID state not to import saves from WH or GoA as they dont work.

I heard an idea on a pc thread that maybe they could import save data from both Witch hunt and Origins. Import approval values from Origins or something like that. Or give us the option to change import decisions. If they don't fix this there will be a good number of people that will give up on the Dragon Age series.
Where did they state not to import saves from the DLC? If they did it must have been post patch.

I don't believe that at all.

Yea i never heard about not using the witch hunt and golem's save becuase they didn't work? Furthermore if that were true i'd be pretty pissed off if they made the game and did'nt even realize that the imports don't work! I mean iv'e been a HUGE bioware fan since ME and DAO but if they made this game so quick and so cheap as to not fix import save issues (which are about the only reasons to play DAO and then play DA2, to see what your choices made to the world) Which are a huge part of the game. Anyways I dont mean to act like TROLL or anything (i'm tottaly not) but i love DA so much and i just dont think that I can stay with a game series if the developers are so lazy or quick to get the game out that they don't even find and or fix major plot bugs? Anyway point is i really need the import bugs fixed so i can get my "final" (meaning main profile) character complete for future DLC and expansion. Please DO FIX THESE BUGS Bioware.

Not to belittle the annoyance of the problem (I havn't played all DLC yet to import from), but the import issues afaik are not present in DA2 itself, it all begins with importing an Origins save into Awakenings where approval ratings etc don't transfer correctly, and the bugs snowball from there. Really, that's what they should have fixed a year or two ago, instead of ploughing on with more DLC. Now the problem is that they'd have to go back and patch Origins/Awakenings to get it to work properly, when they should have been fully patched first time round - both games are still riddled with well-known bugs.

It's not just Witch Hunt and Golems... it's Awakening too. That's where it all started.
Awakening was/is so ridiculously broken.
I had to stop and restart a few time because I hadn't realised there were bugs you had to know to work around to get everything right and I still didn't find Velanna's quest.
Slightly off-topic question: Will Awakening see another patch?
On-topic reminder: Got a few folk both confirming and denying the whole Consoling Words issue, Mr Barrett, most of them saying it doesn't fire either way (thread moved on a bit from then).

What are these Morrigan bugs people are mentioning?
It's already been mentioned that whatever decisions made to do with Morrigan aren't really in the game, unless I am remembering incorrectly. I think people are just assuming there's a problem due to the other import bugs.

Indeed, and this topic has been addressed several times in this thread. The problem is actually not with DA2, it is with Awakenings and the other DLC. If you go straight from DAO to DA2, everything works. I think the problem is that whatever team they put on Awakenings and on DA2 probably didn't work with each other to the extent that the DAO and DA2 teams did. Until they fix Awakenings, it won't work, because that's where the problem is. It's a garbage in, garbage out problem. What DA2 receives from Awakenings is broken, so it can't fix it.
Whoever made Awakenings such that it didn't import these issues from DAO is who really screwed the pooch here. No one can go back and make your Awakenings playthrough contain stuff it is supposed to contain that it didn't pick up from DAO. If anything, should they ever fix Awakenings (which hopefully they will), you'd probably have to play through Awakenings again with a DAO save to make it work right.
My advice would be to either take it straight from DAO, as has been suggested by Mr. Barret, or take it from Awakenings and decide, once and for all, that Awakenings and DLC decisions are more important than DAO decisions. As for me? The DAO decisions matter a little more.
Or, alternatively, you could buy the game on PC and use one of the several mods/utilities out there to generate a clean save game file with all the appropriate flags and drop it into the PC version. That's something I am increasingly tempted to do.

What I will give Bioware credit for is trying to do an import feature at all. Most classic RPGs have never had any such mechanic. Only Bioware games and now the Witcher 2 have these kinds of features. It's only to be expected that there are going to be problems. It's something unprecedented in gaming history that started with ME and then went forward.
Don't forget the classic "Quest for Glory" series that had those "new" character import features two decades ago..

I think the Warden's story is done, so the Warden is unlikely to appear again in the series...
Given the last few lines of DA2 between Cassandra and Leliana, I strongly disagree that we are done with the Warden.
My irk about that is that my Warden wouldn't care about the mage/templar thing. He's a Warden, he fights darkspawn, that's it. They better have a good reason for pulling the Warden back in. My guess as to where Hawke and Warden went is that Flemmeth did something.

SPOILER, At the end of the game cut scene they quote
Leliana: 'So.. did you-..?'
Cassandra: 'Gone. Just like the warden..' END SPOILER
'The warden' cant be anders(Because I killed him on my recent playthrough D:) so possibly idk maybe pointing to the 'Hero of Ferelden' as it were?
Just a thought I personally had on it...
