I think the Warden's story is done, so the Warden is unlikely to appear again in the series...

Given the last few lines of DA2 between Cassandra and Leliana, I strongly disagree that we are done with the Warden.

My irk about that is that my Warden wouldn't care about the mage/templar thing. He's a Warden, he fights darkspawn, that's it. They better have a good reason for pulling the Warden back in. My guess as to where Hawke and Warden went is that Flemmeth did something.

SPOILER, At the end of the game cut scene they quote
Leliana: 'So.. did you-..?'
Cassandra: 'Gone. Just like the warden..' END SPOILER

'The warden' cant be anders(Because I killed him on my recent playthrough D:) so possibly idk maybe pointing to the 'Hero of Ferelden' as it were?
Just a thought I personally had on it...

But don't forget the rest of the conversation. Cassandra asks Leliana "Do we keep looking or go with our original plan?" Leliana says "It's in the hands of the maker."

This suggest to me that they are going to go with their "original plan" which did NOT involve Hawke and the Warden (hence the big fat OR in that sentence). I just don't see any way they bring the warden back in. A lot of people's wardens are dead! Though, if someone could verify whether this conversation changes if you have a dead warden would be helpful. They could even be talking about Stroud or Alistair, which might be likely since they refer to the Warden character as the "Hero of Ferelden" in the game always.

Anyway, I just don't see the Warden appearing again. There are too many variables in people's choices to incorporate the actual Warden into any future games. The consequences of the Warden's actions, perhaps. I think the DA games will continue to tell a different story each time. I don't think Hawke is even going to be in future games except maybe as an NPC. I still bank on Morrigan's Godbaby being the PC of DA3, but that is a discussion for another thread, certainly not the Technical Support one.

Couldn't Commander Shepard die in ME2?  I'm pretty sure that he/she could, and yet, he/she is confirmed for the third game.

I thought that if Shepard died in ME2 then you can't import that game to ME3.

Can Luke please verify that dispel, cleanse and healing aura's range are not bugged? From both personal experience and multiple independent reports, these 3 talents seem glitchy at best. So any official response would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I think I should list what I've gathered for these 3 talents.

Healing aura's range is very short ~1.5m regardless of upgrade.
Cleanse removes friendly buffs on party members (tested on hardcore)and may not work on enemies.
Dispel works as intended on PC (other than a chance to cause freezes) but doesn't seem to work at all on enemies on consoles.

I encountered an issue with Fenris' quest "Alone" in Act III, never seen it mentioned anywhere else.
Since it's a companion quest this might contain SPOILERS
... after selling him to Danarius I immediately reentered the Hanged Man, the "select Party"-Menu appeared with Fenris locked (although he should have been gone for good), upon entering the Cutscene started again, Danarius spoke but was not "physically present"... this time I decided to fight but the fight was immediately over (no one to fight). In the end I kept Fenris as a companion but his Home Base disappeared from the map and could not be entered through High Town either and I still received the letter from Danarius.
I did not test if this was a "one time thing" or can be reproduced easily.

Cache clearing didn't help - screan tearing persists, especially in the docks area. Animation still seems a little juddery.
Also, mage targeting is really janky and terrible.

Spoiler Alert:

I apologise if this has already been mentioned, for Merrill's quest in Act 3, when you have to confront the demon in the cave, I can hear Fenris, but he is not visible. There is an empty space next to his companions where he should be. I am not sure if anyone else has experienced this too.

That's certainly what all the interviews said when they discussed the import mechanism from ME1 to ME2 and whether you would be able to do it for ME3. My guess would be that if your Shephard is dead then you continue the story with a pre-built Shephard who survived, as it does in ME2 when you don't have an ME1 to import, or they offer something similar to DA2 when you have no import with a few different options for what Shephard did in ME1 and ME2.

I had the same issue even with Fenris in my party. He just disappeared/became invisible as those lines were delivered.

Didn't someone mention that the cleanse effect on nightmare is due to friendly fire and that's a feature, not a bug? I do agree there seems to be a bit of a problem with healing aura though. Have to stand right next to someone for it to work, even with upgrades.

For the talent 'cleanse', I was playing on hard and not nightmare though so friendly fire shouldn't be an issue.

I don't know if it's related to the Isabela glitch or not but there have been random moments in battle when the slo-mo kicks in for a few seconds.

Not sure if this has been reported yet - fairly trivial glitch - but my Codex entry for Isabela: The Last Three Years is a bit funky. It looks like this:

Isabela - The Last Three Years

Isabela's return during the Qunari crisis was surprising, most of all to Isabela, herself. She blamed Hawke for inspiring her to such foolishness, and seemed to regret exposing herself to danger. After the Arishok was killed, Isabela was seen in deep conversation with Hawke. The exchange ended as Isabela walked off, saying, "You're reading too much into it."

That was the last anyone in Kirkwall saw of her for some time. Many believed that she had left the Free Marches for good. Then, as abruptly as she had departed, Isabela appeared one day in her usual spot in the Hanged Man, drinking as though she had never been gone.

As you can see, it appears to give me both the friendship and romance entries in one, with repeating paragraphs. This was in a playthrough where I was pursuing her romance.

+1 for this (hopefully) small and meaningless bug.

I got the bugged codex entry for Isabella as well, but my Hawke's romance with her completed without a hitch, so it does seem to be harmless.

Hopefully someone can confirm or deny this (merrill's consoling words with templars/circle)

It's always triggered properly for me. I've had Bethany taken to the circle twice and each time at the start of Act 2 Merrill talks to me about it.

So far we've got about three or four saying it doesn't fire either way and DaBigDragon confirming that it works both ways for her/him.

*puppy eyes* I hope this helps.

I sent Bethany to the Circle and I got this quest. I also got it for Carver going to the Templars (pre-patch)

Never got this quest when I sent Bethany to the circle. Never sent Carver to the Templars so...

I always got this quest when Bethany was sent to the circle. In my last playthrough she became a gery warden and didn't get the quest

So Luke, have you and your team at Bioware been able to figure out how to address the import bugs?

Act 2 when talking to Grand Cleric Elthina if you pick the conversation option "you're useless" and have Sebastian in your party instead of gaining Rivalry points as you are supposed to, you gain friendship points.

*Mini-spoiler alert*

OK so Varric's Haunted Quest in Act 3 is raising some questions. If I allow him to keep the shard of the idol, his weapon gets 3 extra rune slots, and his armor becomes "armored" duster as opposed to tailored duster. When this happens, you lose the 3 rune slots that you had in your armor. Now, when I added Varric back to my party after going back to my estate, the 3 rune slots were back on his new armor, they were just empty.

Is this by design or is it a bug? By allowing him to keep the idol is there supposed to be a trade-off of sorts between his weapon and his armor?

Right now we're looking at removing the approval rating checks in DA2. This will fix the majority of those issues.

So my guess is that removing the approval rating checks won't fix DA2 recognizing who you romanced in DA:O.
Or is my guess incorrect?

Glitch with Sebastian Vael. When accepting the quest from Arriani for Night Terrors from her while having Sebastian in the party, you do not gain any rivalry points when you should. Also when you tell Marethari that you won't kill Feynriel you are supposed to gain rivalry points with him but again he does not gain them.

When Hawke returns an item to an NPC what he/she says doesn't match up with the text on screen. Also, when you return an item sometimes (most times) the quest icon is still over the NPCs head.

There are chests when you open up that have no items listed but there is a take all option and then you do actually get something. Like the chest in the Blooming Rose in Act 1 that gives you I think its a rune recipe or something, for example.

Also, some issues with the SDTV format still occur. Before the scene would be all warped and stretched now there are some funky issues happening with the black bars on the top and bottom of the screen. Specifically they turn colors and sometimes the scene will bleed down into the bars.
