I've been told (and have reposted this a few times) that the supplier achievement is actually just a blanket check for 66 reagents. Try going to Black Emporium and just buying out everything and see if that causes it to fire.

Ok your first line makes no sense to me I am sorry, however thats the issue I cannot buy the 2 I am apparently missing, however the 2 I am missing I found in Act 3 but still says I am missing those 2. I have re-loaded several saves and got the resources all over again but nothing it still does not work.

Please sort out the achievement its obviously worded wrong or maybe it is in fact bugged.

Its like buying something that takes 3 batteries but you were only given 2 in the box.

Could it be the issue is the fact that he's missing reagents from areas he can no longer access in Act 3?  I know the reagents for an act only appear at the black emporium after you have completed that act.

No because ill tell you what ive done thus far, the missing reagents from act 1 and 2 i was able to purchase at the black emporium, here is where its bugged, the 2 i was missing I found them glitterdust where you go for merrills quest and the other one seems to be locked as its supposed to be in a cave in the wounded coast. However there is no quest in act 3 that i can see which even allows you to go into the cave.

So according to the game i am still missing 2 even though i have found the glitterdust so just missing one? And says i have 7/6 of 1 other resource. Now after beating the game you would think the 2 i am apparently missing will be at the black emporium right? Wrong nothing is available to buy in the way of resources.

So that means I must have all of them? I've played the game fully 5 times and tried all combinations and nothing is working.

To clarify:

Regardless of the what the achievement description says, I'm pretty sure you just need to acquire a grand total of 66 reagents. So, assuming you are close like you said you were, just buy as many as you can from the Black Emporium vendor until the achievement fires. You can always reload after that.

Can we verify anyone on the XBox360 has actually *gotten* this achievement? It's possible there's one missing from a broken quest somewhere, and if it's in Act 3, it may not be possible to purchase it from the Black Emporium, as there is no Act 4!

So I haven't gotten the patch yet - what's the new problem with Who Needs Rescuing? Is it still not complete-able?

Luke I am sorry but have you even read what I have said on several occassions? I feel like I am not sure how else to further explain the issue, in my last post I clarified even further :-( help me out here please.

The game says I am missing 2, but I cant be because 1) I already purchased all the ones I missed in act 1 and 2 and the ones in act 3 I found but it still says i am missing them.
Beat the game and there are NO resources to purchase so its bugged. I've even reloaded saves and still nothing it does not work.

Just from reading the xbox360achievements.org comments it's definitely possible to get this achievement. It was suggested that you need to have 66 of them and then* pick up a real one from the game so that if you're buying from Black Emporium you'll need to save one to pick up after trying to buy all the missing ones.

He's suggesting there's an inaccessible reagent in Act 3. Since reagents appear in the Black Emporium the act after you miss them, this might mean the the achievement is unattainable as it's impossible to purchase the missing one from the Black Emporium.

EDIT:  If we can verify that all the reported reagents are at some point accessible and attainable in Act 3, then this is not a bug.  Previous acts don't matter (as much), as those can be gotten from the Emporium.

Well I can definitely say for a fact that 'unattainable' is not the right word. Unfortunately due to the complexity of this particular issue all I can do is give suggestions. It always works when we try it in-house and many users have said they got it successfully (as does our telemetry) - given all of this my options are a very specific way to break the tracking of the achievement or user error. Either way, we'll look in to it.

I'm not suggesting you're wrong Luke, just wanted to make sure you understood the (potential) issue. It sounds like @TAJ is just somehow not finding one of the reagents in the 3rd act in his playthrough. Taj, what cave in Act 3 are you talking about? Which reagent are you missing? Send me a PM and perhaps I can help...

I have it, but i didn't need to purchase any of the reagents as i kept my eyes open while playing the game.

I have it as well, just collected everything in the game, didn't buy any reagents.

On a different note, this game seems to be unusually buggy. I don't recall a Bioware game that i've ever played that has been this bugged. It is nice to hear that patches are coming out and issues are being attended to, more than I can say for some game developers. I am still disappointed I don't get to experience parts of the game because of said bugs though, even a month or so after release.

Using my psychic powers I'm guessing you're playing a mage and don't have Merrill yet :wizard:

So close. Normally when I see this complaint it's because the user got Carver's quest to go to Gallows early. There are actually quite a few quests that have prereqs before they appear.

Act 3 cut scene where Knight Commander and Orsino are talking in the gallows before final 2 boss battles. Their outfits are completely missing all colors, some background pieces are also missing color, most things are shinny grey, and Orsino outfit stays that way. Their outfits look like the would when the are computer drawn during design phase but color hasn't been added yet.

I made the following thread a while ago and bumped it before noticing this one: http://social.biowar...1/index/6820770

I'll leave the lengthy specifics in that thread, but the issue I've found is that I can do the Alone companion quest for Fenris over and over again by choosing to ditch him every time. Thing is, I want to ditch him, but I don't know whether this looping effect means that it'll register my decision properly if I just leave it be after one go-through?

Well, looks like I'll be holding off playing the game I purchased until the SECOND patch. Call me silly, but Leliana not acknowledging my Warden's romance with her was a deal-breaker. Guess I'll find something else to do with my time.

Edit: I know it's probably silly to ask this, but I figure I will just in case: is there any general ETA on this next patch?

If you turn off your system, restart and load the save are they still missing the colors? This is typical of out of memory issues that occur over long play times. The most recent patch alleviated this issue substantially but it wasn't fully removed.
