Hate to quote myself, but I believe this deserves some attention. All the research I have done on this forum and a few others shows that people assume this is as intended, but that isn't true. It would seem that the flags in game that determine which armor set your Hawke is suppose to get isn't set right. When you kill the person that is suppose to drop the chest piece he will instead drop the Rogue "Enasalin set" instead. You can tell this is not intended, because on my first playthrough I got all the armor pieces before act 3, and up until this point my warrior was getting all the armor pieces in the same exact spot my rogue did.

I found the warrior chestpiece at the armor merchant's store in the Gallows at the beginning of Act 3. I found that there were lots of things in the guide that were wrong, and discovered somewhere near the end of my 1st (or maybe the 2nd) playthrough that it was far easier to just fine-tooth-comb everything.

In the quest Demands of the Qun theres a cut scene where I meet Knight commander Meredith, and I continue on with the quest to the keep and after meeting with Bethany, Meredith and Orsino I defeat  the Sten and the screen shows the text 'Loading' at the bottom and then the cutscene replays with Meredith that I previously had and I start at the beginning of the zone and when I try to enter the keep again nothing happens, so I'm pretty much stuck where I can't continue my game.... I was waiting for the patch to fix things but it still doesn't fix it.

I've tried reloading old saves, clearing my cache and making different choices with conversations and party members but with no luck.! Please someone fix this soon so I can keep playing my game!

I'm using a warrior with Varric, Anders, and Merril. I've tried different party groupings as well but nothing changed.

I've been thinking about the Maker's Sigh problem that I reported earlier. I bet the problem is that when I used it some armor came off that was giving me 2 stat points.

How embarrassing.

I checked and I don't think anyone has mentioned the Anders tactics with Panacea spells glitch. Basically when tactics tell Anders to use Regroup or Aid Allies, he will use it successfully regardless if Panacea is active or not. This doesn't happen controlling him manually, only tactics. This has been happening for me the entire game, I have his tactics using those two spells and no sustained modes.

I would also like to mention that the Gravitic Ring glitch has a very high occurrence in my game. 1 out of 2 times I use it it will freeze Aveline and/or enemies who are both at its center. Aveline can recover from this state (where she doesn't move or attack or anything) 9/10 times through being manually controlled, the other time requiring leaving the level. The enemies frozen usually never recover, and almost every boss fight in the entire game has consisted of the boss frozen after only 1 or 2 Gravitic Rings and my team hammering on him like this for several minutes, making the battle obscenely easy. I don't want this to happen, but I still use GR because it is a pretty useful spell for my AOE mage.

If you can figure out exactly what is causing this issue that would be helpful. I tried for about an hour on PC doing various things but it may be much easier on Xbox. We typically can't fix anything until we can find a way to reliably reproduce the issue (else we cant tell if its fixed or not)

Having a problem with herbalist's task in act 1. I brought back all ingredients and yet the quest is still active (doesn't show 'completed'). I had no problem with it before the patch.
Also, I play on a 4:3 SDTV, and at some cutscenes, the upper and lower black bars go haywire with colors for a moment.

Xbox360 Only Issues

- Epic achievement doesn't seem to fire without importing a DAO game (ie. doing two new playthroughs)

This is not 100% the cause, I have never imported a DA:O save but did get the Epic achieve after my second playthrough on 360.

Jeven is still not dropping the final armour upgrade for Aveline when you kill him, in Favour or Fault.

Yeah, I've noticed that as well. The stretching and distortion has been fixed but every now again there is some crazy stuff going on in those letterbox bars. One of my favorites so far is when you first meet Aveline. When the dialouge wheel comes up, look at the smoke in the background. It actually rises up off screen and into the letterbox bar at the top,

Yes that is as intended, becasue you can find the Rogue armor there as well if you don't ended up fighting the people in the Hangedman. The fight is optional so therefore Bioware made so that if you got through that part without the fight you could still get the armor piece. The problem is that because the game is dropping the rogue Chest piece instead of the warrior chest piece you have to wait until act 3 to get it. That is not as intended, and I am not just working off of forums and guides. I am also using some deductive reason here. The fact remains that all set pieces are found in the same spot no matter what class you play, but the when you play warrior the act2 chest set piece is been flagged for rogue instead of warrior.

OK I have a Question. It says the slow Hawke hasn't been fixed retroactively so that would mean i would have to start from an earlier save like the beginning of the act for example? If I kept playing the file with the bug would he still move slow? Would you recommend me starting from the beginning of the act or a new play through?

Current issues that require new playthroughs (or older saves) in 1.02

- Slo-mo hawke (as well as other stat modifiers) are not retroactively fixed. The problem will not reoccur or get worse but whatever value you currently have will be stuck with you for now (there are many helpful threads about editting the save to manually fix the issue in the mean time)
- Aveline's 4th upgrade (Favor and Fault) will not appear if you've already entered the area once in Act 3 before applying the patch

So would these two be fixed in the next few patches? Or does it require new playthroughs/older saves to completely remedy?

I doubt either could be fixed retroactively. Attack speed perhaps with a potion that resets your base to 0 (or modify the Maker's Sigh to do it?), but I don't really see a way to make Aveline's Deflecting Joints appear if you've already entered Darktown in Act 3. I suppose they could make it buyable if Favor and Fault is completed in your Journal?

Ah....It just seems to be wierd that something like getting an item to spawn on a NPC would be so difficult. Understandable if the speed numeric value is un-resetable...but something as trivial as spawning an item?:(

Problem is, the Deflecting Joints are supposed to come from Jevan. Why even visiting Darktown before patching breaks it, I have no idea, but they've essentially got one option to fix it for playthroughs that have already been victimized; they can force it into a shop (not sure that can even be done through a patch, but perhaps through a free DLC). This has the obvious side effect of making it trivially simple to get, and the potential of being bugged on its own and doing who-knows-what to Aveline.

The other problem with trying to fix things retroactively is that you stand to break something else in its place. While I know no other way of getting Deflecting Joints, it's a pretty simple process to edit your save to fix your attack speed and damage resistance. I'd rather have an issue I can fix on my own, such as attack speed, than have something else break that's beyond my ability to repair.

Thanks guys and girls at Bioware, all of you have earned my respect (probably doesn't mean much from one customer).

I still won't be playing the game though until this (1.02) update gets released so I don't have to deal with any of the huge bugs still left over. It looks like you already know which ones they are so I am hoping within the next month it gets released.

Also can you guys fix the site issue where you can't delete saves on the "online storage"?

You could for DAO but not for DA2. I hate seeing my friends' saves listed in my save list even though I deleted them from my hard drive.

I just finished the game, so I'll do my best to help. I'll list what triggered and what didn't.

*SPOILERS*

I transferred my Warden from DAO>DAA>GA>WH>DAII. He romanced Leliana, Alistair did the dark ritual with Morrigan, he spared the Architect, upgraded vigil's keep, saved Amarathine, and he brought Nathaniel to the mother boss battle.

When I imported, every flag that was there was bang on. There were no incorrect flags. A few notable ones were missing though. The only one missing was any sort of mention of the romance with Leliana. The witch hunt flags didn't show up either, but Bioware already stated that they won't no matter what.

When I played through the game, everything actually went pretty well. I was able to do Nathaniel's quest and he said how the Warden spared the architect. He also recognized Anders. When Zevran showed up, he acted just like he should since he wasn't in any sort of romance with my Warden. When the assassin's showed up they even said "The Warden isn't here to protect you this time Zevran" which might allude to the fact that Zevran stayed loyal to my warden when given the opportunity to return to the crows at the landsmeet.

Alistair acted fine. Didn't mention anything of any significance. Wish he would have brought up that he has a demon son with the witch of the wild's daughter, that would have been funny. XD

Only problem I'm aware of is Leliana. When she showed up in Sebastian's quest, she didn't say a thing about being in a relationship with my Warden, which is weird because she was at 100% approval in the save I transferred. I'd assume this is a bug since the flag didn't even show up when I first imported.

Anyways, that's all I got for now. Hope it can help somehow. Can't wait for DA3. I just hope it's much more polished than DA2...

The problem with the Leliana romance is that Awakening doesn't import approval ratings from Origins. If you import directly from Origins to DAII, she'll acknowledge it.

What would someone recommend i do about the isabela bug. Should i start a new play through, start from the beginning of act which is b4 i had the bug or fumble through the other saves and see if the bug is still there? I asked this b4 and no one really answered me so I'm asking again. Please someone respond asap.

I was doing Sebastian's Repentance in Act 2, and he got the lock on him so he could not be removed from the party. Even after I finished the quest, did his questioning beliefs, and a few side quests, the lock stayed on. The only way I could get him out of the party was to go to the mansion. After he left at the mansion, his thumbs up ability picture stayed in my abilities screen. I am praying this didn't just ruin my game.

I have had this bug a few times, but it seems to reset itself if you just go to your mansion.  I have not had any problems completing the game (twice) afterward.  Still very annoying though!

So you basically have to choose between having Leliana acknowledge it, or ALL of your Awakening choices.

I'd always pick the latter. Hopefully this is patched soon. Until then, this is what Youtube is for.

Awakening is so fracked when it comes to plot flags though, I wouldn't trust anything importing correctly into future DLC or DAIII.  Besides getting a retroactive fix for the thumbs up glitch, all this plot flag business has to be the top priority for BioWare.

Because of the existing import and plot glitches future DLC and games will most likely also get messed up. These issues need to get fixed.
