Can I just ask if the difficulty was lowered at all in the patch? Last night I couldn't for the life of me complete the Blackpowder quest in act 2 but then after the patch it was a piece of cake I have checked and the difficulty is still set to normal. Maybe it is due to me turning auto attack on?
To my knowledge it wasn't changed at all so it could just be that you got better at the game overnight!
I don't believe tactics were touched in this patch so I'm going to assume that it is still an issue.nickan1022 wrote...
Luke, can you tell us if the "Enemy:
Rank" is still causing a target change or if, like the PC patch, they
modded it to evaluate the current target?

Okay, thanks. I only ask because the PC side shows it as the last item in the "Game Play" section and not part of the "PC/MAC-SPECIFIC FUNCTIONALITY" section, so I thought it might be a possibility. I'll test it tonight and if it's not there, I'll toss it into the 1.02 bucket thread.
EDIT
I should mention that the fix was documented in the community verification thread, not the official patch notes on the PC side.

Anyone asking about Finding Nathaniel, if you left him at the Keep, you're screwed. He'll always be marked as dead unless you took him to the battle with the Mother.
Is that something that is going to be fixed in the next patch? Or was it supposed to be like that? I can't remember what exactly happened at the end of Awakenings

Enemy:Attacking Party Member (Anders) > Use Condition for next tactic
Aveline: Any > Goad
would this setup actually goad the enemies on Anders to start attacking Aveline, or would this just throw Goad at Aveline if there are enemies attacking Anders?

I didn't really like using the XP/Money glitch, and now that it is fixed, you guys need to recode the loot you get. Items ingame are far too expensive without the glitch. You don't earn enough gold from kills to buy anything really good. Before discovering the glitch I couldn't purchse anything really decent until the end of Act II. Is it possible to rework the varibles so more money drops from kills and you aren't having to wait until Act II or ACT III to buy decent equipment from vendors.
Thanks
Edit: Using the fortune runes works, not as well as I expected but it works. But running around collecting the resources to make fortune runes for the first two hours of the game is ridiculous.

Re the update: everything's working fine (lovin' auto-attack, and the fact that I can swap shields and not cheat), but ever since the patch, the Dog has a tendendacy to wander off, and never come back (seriously). After a battle on the Wounded Coast, the Dog - though he was still 'active - simply kept walking away from my party. Another time in the same area and session, he also retained his health bar after combat, his animation was frozen, and he didn't follow my party. I mention them only because I've not seen these quirks before (I was using a new character started after the update, btw).
Plus; does Bella's outift actually update? I reloaded a few saves to find out how many issues had been solved, and nothing seemed to change. Surely that fix (of all minor fixes) doesn't need a new playthrough?

Yeah, this a question I want answering. Or I'm going to have a lot of replaying to do.

@ Andro - you've got to be kidding, right? Change all the reward variables, to somehow compensate for an exploit that was never factored into the original rewards? Pick and choose what you buy, that's how RPG's generally work.

I do pick and choose what I buy... I've been playing RPGs for a while thanks very much. Not being able to do this until Act II because I'm saving all my money to pay for the Deep Roads Expedition is stupid. And then after you pay the 50 Sov for the expedition and return, you only have roughly 70-100 sov to play with at the beginning of Act II and to try and buy one or two pieces breaks your bank leaving you unable to buy better items for your companions unless you get lucky and find them.
Changing the coding to increase money drops from kills is not hard at all speaking from a Programming aspect since that is what my field is in. You don't need to change reward variables a great deal.

It's good to hear about some of the fixes though. Even if the game isn't perfect just yet, this is a big step and greatly appreciated.
Edit: Also, if import bugs cannot be fixed, is there a default import where the Architect is dead? I'm willing to just use that instead if it's the only option...
Edit: Downloaded the patch... the display during cutscenes/dialogues looks great on an SDTV!

Thank you for fixing "A New Path".
Also, the game seems to be running much smoother now. No more slowdowns that I noticed.

So was the Forbidden knowledge quest bugged? Or was it intentionally supposed to only allow you to get to the Fell Grimoire, or whatever it was called, if you destroyed all five books?
Yes, you can only get to the final area if you destroy all of the books.
On the money issue: if you pay the 50 sovereign you get it back at the end of the DRE. If you feel like spending all of your money in Act 1, Dougal will approach you to offer to pay your way. In either case you're not actually going to lose 50 sovereign. The total gold you can earn in Act 1 without using RoFs is around 90 sovereigns.

Can we get confirmation on this?
I rarely EVER took him because he was one of the ones to survive the battle at the keep.

I've tend to get 110-115 without using runes of fortune. I'm working on my ..hmm... 6th or 7th playthough of Act I and I've gotten a bit more each time. If I really min-maxed the quests (for example, took the coin for Loose Ends and such) I'm sure I could hit 120 easily.
But seriously, you're not supposed to be able to buy every epic 100+ sov item in the game. Pick and choose, baby. Pick and choose.

IS there any plan for a future patch to fix retroactively the slowdown effects from the Isabella/Sebastian bugs without having to load a previous save?
I'm into year 7 (act 3?) and I loaded my autosave of the beginning of Act 3 and my character seems fine in battle but he does have the Isabella "thumbs up" even though she isn't in my party so I'm hoping that the bug isn't still in effect and I have to start over.
My actual progression has taken place after fighting the High dragon and I got all the way to sundermount until the game became unplayable due to the bug. I wish there was some way to fix it so I wouldn't have to backtrack to the beginning of Act 3 where even then I'm sure my guy IS UNDER MINIMAL effect of the slow down bug though it's hard to tell.
Is my only option figuring out how to use FIRSTBLIGHT to edit his speed?
