I'm assuming they fixed the resolution for SD tvs in this patch. It looks better from my eyes, unfortunately I abandoned this game like a month ago and I don't care to play it anymore. I'll try to get back into it.
It's fixed. Just has a minor new graphical hiccup now. Smoke for instance bleeds into the black borders of the screen. If it didn't somewhat look pixelly (because its not supposed to be there hur) I'd think it looked like a cool effect.

Well you're not guarunteed to run into those glitches it's just a possiblity, some how i never ran into them pre-patch like everyone else. I'm gonna re-clear my system cache and try another playthrough after i run through origins again.Sidney wrote...

The fixes worked well but after applying the title update a whole bunch of new ones popped up in act 3 that i'd never run into. Examples: On the loose-Huan's wife was just a floating head, no body....Evelina's transformations kept pixelating badly and almost froze up the game. NPC character textures kept going missing on almost every quest most notably during the final battle sequence(Meredith/Orsino/the statues in the gallows courtyard), also the same during the end of act 2 when the qunari attack(grey wardens). Not complaining bioware, just letting you know what i ran into after applying the update and going through a full playthrough.
I'm not seeing any of those - and I did the full re-start after the patch as well.

Anyone asking about Finding Nathaniel, if you left him at the Keep, you're screwed. He'll always be marked as dead unless you took him to the battle with the Mother.
I'm playing DA II using my Awakenings link where Nathanial was not in my final battle with the Mother but I chose to save the keep and let the town burn. Does his quest still not show up in any Acts in DA II? I thought he should have lived! I just entered Act II and the Fools Gold quest is no longer available.

This issue was fixed but it is not retroactive. So, if you have a corrupt character, it will still be broken but it will not get any worse. My advice is to load an earlier save where the problem does not exist (or is very minimal) if that is a possibility.GreyWarden36 wrote...
has the slow motion attacks bug been fixed?
sorry im still at work and won't get a hold of my xbox til 8 pm
We are currently working to put a full retroactive fix in for the next patch though.
Hmm this is weird, because i got the patch a couple of days ago, and my character is infected with the thumbs up bug before updating, but the slowdown is bearable. But after resuming my game with isabella on the party and after defeating the varterral my character slowed down to a crawl. I thought it would not get any worse when i have the patch already. When i take Isabella off the party, i don't see the thumbs icon on my abilities, does that mean the patch worked?

I wanted to say up front that I appreciate the fixes. I'm seeing a marked improvement in the game, and my wife is actually willing to start a new play through now that some of the major issues have been resolved.
My biggest concern however remains with the Sebastian/Isabela friendship bug. While that has been fixed for saving games post-patch and new games, this issue isn't fixed for prior saves/games. Meaning, the permanent, negative attack speed/defense effects of that particular bug will remain in your game until you start a new one, but at least they won't continue to get worse.
What I wanted to ask is if you folks have any plans to address this issue retroactively in prior saved games so that players don't have to completely start over with a new play through in order to undo the damage? The reason I'm asking this is because with future DLC, the last thing any of us want to see is the negative attack speed/defense stats resulting from that bug getting carried over from an imported saved game. I'd be grateful for any insight you can offer on this.
Thanks!
P.S. Wondering if I should have posted this question in the 1.02 planning thread instead?

Has the Epic Achievement been fixed (patch 1.01) if you played the game through twice without importing a DA:O game? If, Yes, can you go back and replay a save (2 separate saved games) from the last battle to obtain the achievement or do I have to play 2 new games? This is frustrating since this is the last cheevo I need.
I have the same problem. I've played through 3 times... I've only beaten it once since the patch installed, however. Do I need to play through a 4th time?
So far, it doesn't look fixed.

I think so. I just got the achievement when I collected my last ingredient yesterday.
