Hi.

Just tried making a very basic module using the World Editor Guide that came out a few years back and I'm having a problem with the actual compiled module.  Every time I try to run it, the scenery is all blue, the character has a -1 to detections also.  I can move the character around, but as I can't distinguish between anything, its hard to see where I'm going.  Leaving the module also gives me the message along the lines of "unhandled exception has occured in your application".  I recently installed the game from scratch, with both expansions patched up, so there's a chance that it's to do with that, but as I'm new to this, I don't know for sure, and could easily be doing something newbish.  Does anyone have any ideas with what's happened here?  Thanks.

Try making another area. Make it really basic, just the surface and the starting point, no details so you don't use much time on it. See how that one works. I have had one instance where I worked on an area and checked it in game and the surface wasn't there. All the trees and such were, but no ground. I fixed that by using a tool called "TerraCoppa" and copying the area. I did that because lots of hours were already invested in the area.

If you have invested lots of time and really need to keep the area, you could experiment with the tool, but if it was just a test area, you may consider starting over and seeing if it was a one-time-glitch.

Also, remember to bake the area and then save the module before testing it out in game.

The all blue except for characters effect is sometimes an indication that your video drivers may need to be updated.

Thanks for the help guys. Looks like it was my graphics card driver, which I've since updated. I'd have thought that if it was fine running the game it would be fine running the editor as well. It's solved that "unhandled exception" error also, and the -1 to rolls, turned out to be because the character loaded up to run around in the area was a drow.
