[Endless Vigil]

Greetings,


I'm sorry if this has already been covered but I couldn't find this exact problem on the fourm.  I've downloaded Mass Effect via Steam, the latest patch is installed I belive it's verison 1.02.  I've installed both sets of DLC without any problems.

I go to run ME I go into the folder right click the ME launcher and run as Admin,  The start screen appears I click play and the start screen closes as if the game is about to load and then nothing happens.

I don't know what to do I'm not normally a PC gamer.

I'm running Windows 7 64bit Ultimate and I have an ok PC.

Core i7 950
ATI 5870
12GB Ram

Should be ok to run ME?


Any help would be much appreciated 


EDIT:

It was trying to run from the wrong HDD problem solved.  Hope this helps anyone with the same problem.

Mass Effect was written well before Win7 was available, and as such, getting it to work is part luck, part PC knowledge.
Run in XP compatibility mode and as admin is the only advice I can give.

Thanks Bogsnot1 It actually installed and ran without any problems it was just careless during the installation processes but selected the right drive through the config menu and everything is fine now.

I've moved on too Mass Effect 2 after a quick two play through with my engineer,
