Sometimes I feel bad for Bioware having to read everyone's complaints.

Just because many disliked it does not mean it was not a good game to others. Personal expectations, focuses and views are always different.
Something that is easy to loose track of seeing the polarized views that tend to be expressed on gaming forums (well, on most forums of any kind).

Let me ask you one thing. Would you like the game MORE if it would have no recycled areas, less repetetive combat, more choices that have impact, more companion interaction, non-combat quests, riddles, puzzles and story that dont ignore lore?

I just picked up DA2 a couple of days ago and I'm loving it. I love the combat change, so far I'm loving the character interactions, the banter, the dialogue, no more awkward-PC-Stare... I am, honestly, enjoying it more than DA:O.
So, here's one happy Bioware fanboy. Thanks for the great game, guys!
Get back here and tell us your feelings AFTER you finish the game please. I'm pretty sure you will have seen the light by then... and if not, at least you will have been exposed to what made everyone else so upset, like the re-used area graphics for instance.

Sorry, but DA2 deserved it. When botches a job, we can expect it to be mercilessly criticized.Sometimes I feel bad for Bioware having to read everyone's complaints.
I Like DA2, but in the same time, every time I play, I can not help but feel angry, because it is obvious that in all areas, everything has been botched.
That is the harsh reality of fans, they are quick to proclaim their loyalty as their contempt,
They succeed, everyone praises as if Bioware is a god. You miss, you botched it is the end of the world. A perfect storm. The law of fans, is zero, stupid, but it's reality.
Bioware is like Shepard, he must work hard to earn the loyalty of its squad... oops excuse me, its fans. XD

Cant we leave one PRO-GAME thread alone (yes WE - because i dont like DA2 too)
Do every single thread prising the game must be bashed on spot.
He like this game so let him enjoy it and let him speak about it.
There are xxxxx other threads where we can complain and bash DA2.
sorry i got myself .... bit too much

I have beat it over three times and I still love DA2.
It's not perfect and it has it's flaws but I enjoyed it alot for it's awesome characters and wonderful lore.
Slightly modified but still applicable.
I loved the story. It's about how a character we create gets caught up i the political BS of a city, and doesn't focus on how I'm the chosen one, and only I can slay an arcane evil that pops around every 1000 years.

I liked it also - a lot. Maybe not as much as DAO but I still enjoyed it very much. I rarely play a game through more than once - (in fact DAO is the only other one I ever have), and I am on my 3rd playthrough.

Happily, there are plenty of us that do like it. It isn't perfect, but it is a good game. There are things about Origins I liked better (getting to talk to your companions more, more variety in the dungeons) and there are things in DA2 that I like better than Origins (the combat, the quest tie ins). I'm on my 4th play through and haven't gotten bored yet, so that's a good sign. I just hope they update the toolset so that the modding community can really get to work!
What quest tie-ins? The quests in the game have near nothing to do with how it ultimately ends. Nearly all of the questing is nothing more than grinding without meaning, bulding your stats and your companions stats. If you felt something, that is good, but I am being honest in that I don't know where you get tie-ins. The quests (mostly mini-quests) felt so disconnected to any major plot, that I actually wondered most of the time for what purpose I was doing all of this fighting and questing as the game progressed. Then Act III happened and only solidified this for me.
