Running through a new playthrough with a new character (new canon infiltrator. Liara, ash or ME2 love intrest? opinions appreciated ) and with ME3 getting nearer. One line from LOTSB "lots of little blue children." got me thinking about a possible 'happy ending' with shepard having kids. But knowing what shepard went through its got me thinking, is is possible for shepard to be fertile?

My own personal view? Yes, but not naturally. It would either be with an Asari or involve the use of fertility treatments of that century. He was basically dead, and he... might not have seeds to plant, if you get my drift. It's entirely possible that by the year it is set, they can use some funky tech to make little wiggly sperm from his other cells.

So yeah, I think he can get some babehs.

We all know how Shepards fights end like:

... FERTILITY ... duuuh, uhm ... FATALITY!!!!

But I doubt pregnancy is likely, as BioWare couldn't afford to antogonize the fan masses of individual specimen Shepard could not have a child with, for biological reasons. And trust me, these masses WILL be antagonized ...

i would assume so...taking into consdieration the time period the game takes place in. that distant into the future i would think that they have thier s*it together and made sure that when shepard was brought back that everything would work the same......but of course thats an assumption though i dont see why they would add that line into LOTSB and deliver to some degree. Knowing biowear though I dont see them again not delivering on that aspect. Thats my insight atleast, I could always be wrong though.

I'd have to say maybe, but I doubt we'll ever get confirmation either way. Shepard has more important things to do than get pregnant, or get other people pregnant.

I'd rather they leave this sort of thing to the imagination of the player, rather than declaring that it happened in the epilogue. Or something like DA:O where the player can describe what their intentions are.

Exactly. That's what fanfiction is for.

TIM made sure he remained " integral" to ensure he would work at his full potential. And we know the importance of testosterone . sooooo, yes i think he can but in my book he swings both ways ;p , so he may have second thoughts. ( he keeps wanting to talk to Jacob who pushes him most of the time, lol
.. maybe joker then ).

What about Femshep though? Fertilizing and carrying a child are two very different things. But what the hell, if TIM's magical future technology can perfectly reunite all of Shep's various bits and pieces, he/she might as well not have any lasting damage either.

This is actually rather interesting now that I think about it. I wonder if the whole "being dead" thing resulted in any unexpected side-effects.

'Mass Effect" and "The Sims" apparently sound alike.

completely agree on the testosterone but I doubt they will touch much on it because he has got to save the galaxy I doubt making a family is on his agenda.

(thats saying he did say to grunt on mine at least he does not plan on doing this forever) so possibly he/she could settle down with the man or women of the persons dreams and probably could have the opportunity for children

but knowing it they will make it that you can decide if you want children or not I doubt they want people getting upset for not having a choice in the matter.

Me personally I would like my character (if he survives) to settle down get married and possibly have children but i doubt everyone would want that one

As Mordin said: "Aware that mission is dangerous, different species react differently to stress."

Big crawdads headed to wipe out all of galaxy and people are wanting to have babies... oh, and see male strippers. We are doomed!

Probably so.

Either way, I'll be happy without children.

Meh. It's not like Garrus and my FemShep can have biological children anyway. Adopting for them!

This is Mass Effect, not Fable... even if Shepard was fertile twice as a normal human and all the species of the galaxy were genetically compatible with humans, still you won't see Shep's kids. Deal with it.
