You have one day in Kirkwall with your companions. How do you spend it?

I'd like to pal around with Varric and listen to all his stories and try like anything to find out about Bianca. I'm also curious about the other name he mentions was already taken. For a storyteller, he keep his personal details close.
I'd slap Anders upside the head and tell him no matter how much he thinks it's a good idea--and he'll know what I mean--Do. Not. Do. IT! Then I'd give him a little kitten and charge him with keeping it safe. Encourage him to become the Cat Mage Healer of Kirkwall. Maybe with a new obsession he won't do anything too stupid. I miss the old Anders.
I'd spend time with Aveline because she truly is a strong woman who knows her mind and ask her if she and Donnic have any plans for Little Avelines down the road. I'd like to get her flustered because a flustered Aveline makes me smile.
I'd flirt outrageously with Isabella even though I don't swing that way. We'd both know it but have huge fun doing it anyway, especially if we could shock anyone else while doing so. Then maybe we'd go shop for terrific jewelry. I'd also find out what magic spell she uses to prevent her from looking like a National Geographic Tribal Granny once she gets older. Gravity is a beast.
And Fenris, well...darned if he doesn't belong to Hawke. I think I'd like to get him just a little drunk, enough for him to forget himself just a bit. And get him to tell me stories. What does he do when he's not traipsing after Hawke. Seems like he gets up to a lot of stuff in Kirkwall if you listen to the banter.
Or maybe just convince him to talk. About anything--he could read out loud to me. Good practice. Dat voice. *sighs*

That is hilarious. If I hadn't seen Miranda in ME2, I'd almost think Varric was hugely exaggerating like he did with Bethany in the beginning, but now I know Bioware likes their... nevermind.

I'd get drunk and play cards with Varric.
I'd wrestle Aveline.
I'd fluff Fenris' hair and run away.
I'd climb a tree with Merrill, or ride on a halla.
I'd steal a ship with Isabela.
I'd have a theological debate with Sebastian.
And then I'd have sex with all of them.

I see someone likes to go out with a bang. (Pun absolutely intended)

BM Hawke and Merrill use blood magic to play rock 'em sock 'em robots with a couple of templars!
Definitely the most "unique" idea heard so far... I quite like it. Although it'd be even more fun to do it with a Templar and an insane mage, no?

I would spend the day hat shopping with Isabela, Merrill, and Aveline. I'm sure Aveline could care less about hats but I would make her join us.Then later it would be drinks and cards and BSing at the Hanged Man with everyone including Donnick. And then even later it would be back to the mansion where I would have my way with Fenris. XD
I forgot to add, at some point during the night Isabela and I would sneak into Meredith's office and paint lewd graffiti on the wall.

So she'll go from inappropriate carvings to inappropriate grafitti? That girl truly is a work of art. As are you, apparently, for encouraging such... rebellious behaviour.
By the way, I meant it in a morally ambiguous, but good way.

Otherwise I'd be too terrified to walk the streets, so I would drink myself silly in the hanged man while making crude jokes with Isabela, then probably hit on Maraas until he punched me out...

- Pack the liquor, a picnic lunch, blankets, and some books from the estate
- Kiss Mum; edge nervously past Sandal
- Round up the companions (well, except Anders; Justice no longer lets him drink and there's going to be a good bit of that happening...) and travel to a sandy area of the Wounded Coast
- Spend the day talking, laughing, drinking, eating, reading aloud, playing cards, sunbathing, swimming, and playing fetch with the dog
- Watch the sunset and tipsily traipse back home

Well, if such an event made me an unstoppable demigod like Hawke, I'd abandon all the companions, punch Meredith in the face, deface the chantry and the grand cleric, then go bang Cullen all night long.
But are you sure Cullen would like you defacing the Chantry and grand cleric?
Mind you, being an unstoppable demigod, I suppose there really isn't much he could do.

2. And since Justice doesn't let Anders drink, I'd just make him high on life by agreeing with his stance on the mages.
3. Buy Isabela a pair of pants. Or two. Then join in a battle of euphemisms.
4. Break Merrill's mirror.
5. Dye Fenris's hair pink, and buy him a book: "How to be Happy for Idiots"
6. Buy Varric more drinks and kiss him.
7. Deface all the statues in the Chantry.
8. Punch Meredith in the balls.
9. **** Anders silly.

Anyway:
1. Mirror of transformation
2. Place 1980s boombox with recorded Marv Albert's patented "YES!" on infinite loop into Qunari compound.
3. Place of bottle of sedatives on Meridith's desk.
4. Pwn Isabella at cards.
5. Drink Varric under the table.
6. Give Aveline a Victoria's Secret catalog.
7. Give Merrill a noogie.
8. Give Sebastian a thesaurus with a bookmark on the page with madness.
9. Mess up the Mage lady's alphabetized potions at the Gallows.
10. Tell the dude at the Keep who has been saying," How much longer do I have to wait?" for years that the Viscount will see him in 5 minutes.

The I'd walk up to Fenris, and ask him what happens if he magically transports himself inside a wall.
Go to the herbalist and stock up on every ahem, protective cream/ointment available before visiting Isabella.
Go and have some dodgy stew and a pint with Varric.
Punch Sebastien.
Tell Aveline to stop being so up herself and to get real.
Oh yeah, and tell Meredith that using that sword is going to be a bad idea. Basically, I'd use my pre-existing knowledge to scare everyone into thinking I was a mind reader. Oh yeah, and get all of the poor mine workers to move somewhere else.

Has anyone said "buying a ticket on the next ship out" yet? Or is it like, "you're on an island, what do you take, it can't be a boat/plane/etc"?
Well it wasn't exactly listed in things you can/can't do, so why not? Though I suppose you'd need quite a bit longer than a day to actually get anywhere.
Where would everybody head off to if you decided to branch out from Kirkwall?
I'd probably bring my crew and head to Ferelden myself. Gotta find out what the heck happened to cause all of the Warden's companions to look so different!
I mean, we know it was the cheese for Allistair, but what about Zev?
