Dude, it's a plothole. At the very best it's pretty weak. Even if it's explained in ME3, it's still limp wristed storytelling and more "It'd be so cool if..."

Someone (maybe Anderson) could pull a few strings to get EDI reinstalled after they're done poking around.

I agree with the bold. But just because something hasn't been explained yet doesn't mean its a plothole. It simply means it hasn't been told yet. If it doesn't get addressed, then its a plothole. If they address it and its not satisfactory to you, it is a handwave, not a plothole. The plot might not be entirely solid, but its not a hole either. If you can't agree, then i'll agree to disagree.

legion will have had to escape or something, his memory core would contain untold information on the 'old machines' and what are they going to say? computer recorded memories are lies?

Joker will be grounded. EDI will have zipped up non-essential functions and downloaded herself into earths local internet to hide. Ken will be in the pub, Chakwas will be arguing with alliance brass, Gaby will be looking for Ken, and Kelly... well lets just say she is taking full advantage of some unscheduled shore leave.

That's completely irrelevant. They're more than capable of making a lot of trouble, of the sort where people in Council space die in large numbers, and the Council damn well will care about that.

Not irrelevant. Was the Council looking to put the Quarians on trial for the Geth, who made a lot of trouble in Citadel space?

They kicked them off of the Citadel, which is exactly what they did the Shepard. They took away his status and now that he doesn't have his status he's fully capable of being put on trial.

The gameinformer article, the Alliance believes that the Normandy
was “always their” and are taking it a part and studying it.

I find it funny that the Alliance only gave you
the Normandy because Anderson volunteered to give it up, even then elements
within wanted it gone. Then you die and the crew is broken up and demoted,
though they did build another one. By contrast Cerberus brings you back to life
builds a new Normandy and then pays you and gives you intell, when you go back
to the Alliance they take your ship and start taking it apart.

Now ever Cerberus is trying to kill me yay <_<

It will take a thorough explanation. I'm more or less expecting the plothole to remain beneath a cursory handwave, so to speak. It won't ruin my game, but it will still be one of those WTF moments.

This Shep still has status.

All I do know is that the the remodeled Normandy will likely have Alliance logos everywhere. Even the toilets, that way you know who your  __ belongs to.

Well, you'll only do what the devs allow you to, and destroying the Alliance is rather unlikely to be something they're going to implement.

I hope I get to slaughter some Alliance guys as I escape on the Normandy.

My thoughts exactly.

In fact, I think I'll agree with everyone who's mad about it and then some.

If there is one thing I hope the Alliance changes, it's the lighting. The SR-2 was really bright, and made my custom Shepard look really odd and pale during most conversations.

Hmm... I wonder if it will look completely different or if there will just be a few minor adjustments? Either way, I want that cargo bay or whatever it's called (the place where you fight the praetorians just before the suicide mission) accessible.

I wonder where Liara, Ash, Kaidan and James will hang out? Maybe Liara will set herself up in the med bay along with Chakwas for old times sake?

My Shep is still a Spectre. So your point only stands in a small number of people's playthroughs.

Are you sure? Shepard probably literally gave it to them.

Blowing up a star system, not to mention trashing a relay (which is quite literally unheard of), is pretty extreme, Commander.  The Council will drop your ass like a bad habit for that.  They'd do so for far, far less, if they though it was a good move politically.

In my main playthrough my crew died i.e Kelly and the rest of Cerberus, not my squad. So I assume you get a new crew? An Alliance one?

Maybe he needed to build his squad. If so, Kelly died so that the rest of the Galaxy may live, she was a hero. A century from now, people will be telling tales about Kelly Chambers and her amazing people and organizational skills.

I cannot think about one single reason why the Alliance might have the right to put their hands in my ship. It's a Cerberus ship (ok, maybe I stole it, but it's not the SR1, so the Alliance shouldn't have any right...).

If they steal my thannix cannon, I'm going berserker.
