Now i want to have a so called "Paragon" type hawk with a romance of merril but it see with the Paragon romance the mirror is still in tact while renegade romance she breaks the mirror. Does that make renegade better in the long term?
Best possible outcome for merril

This isn't mass effect system. Its rivalry and friendship.
Rivalry means you argue about her use of blood magic and the mirror because you want to help, or you think she is a danger.
Friendship means supporting her dreams of helping the elven people using blood magic and the mirror.
Rivalry is probably better ethically, but then again merrill is a good blood mage. She doesn't want to risk anyone besides herself (hence no blood wound skill) and is doing it for other peoples benefit.

I'm in the midst of attempting a Merrill Rivalmance just to see it played out. However, knowing how the eluvian played out in DA:O and Witch Hunt I don't want to destroy it as I think there could still be some use for it.

There's no good or evil path, it depends on your own personal view of blood magic. We have mage antagonists who abuse blood magic, and we have Grey Wardens who use blood magic to establish the Joining Ritual that creates new Wardens and even mages in the order who use blood magic against the darkspawn. There's really no good or evil option with Merrill. I saw Friendship as supporting her goals as a friend and confidant, because Hawke really isn't privy to Dalish history or lore; he has no basis to make a judgement when he doesn't have the facts that Merrill does on the Eluvian and she proficiently uses blood magic for several years without incident.
