 Definitely support some Cullen action. I loved him in Origins, and even more so in DAII. 
Let's hope they keep him around!

I honestly don't think that they can pull off a good story line considering what you could do in the storylines I mean. Alot of chr could be dead in your timelines so how would it effect those peoples games?? Will they be forces to deal with them again in thus making the other 2 games moot?

I think if anything it would need to be revolved around the main chr finding the champion and the warden (i really suspect the warden is in the deep roads somewhere waiting for the crap to blow over)

Maybe being an agent of the chantry group looking for them. But I think the main issue would have to be the Mage vs Templar war. with at lest 3 options of an ending. Mage, Templar (almost genocide of mages and some bloodlines), or the middle ground of a compromised circle system.

I acculty have a few story ideas but I don't think its right for this topic parse.

Varric/shale type dwarves would be great, I still need a few more years before more Oghren types come along...please.

Anders is literally the only reason why i can't play any class other then mage, because I can't stand having someone who never stoppes whining in my party. He used to be good back in awakening but when the DA2 team got a hold of him he started to suck.

Merrill is a must. That's all to it.
You have no sense for what Dragon Age is. It is required to have old characters
for the story to be finished.

Anyway, I would love to have a Dalish companion with actually something that is called common sense this time, which totally rules Merrill out, but would open the way for Witch Hunt's Arianne. She was great, and I really would love to see her again.

Aww, Merrill could be irritating but I kind of liked the 'kooky but disturbed' thing she had going on. That said, the only companion characters from DA2 I would like to see in DA3 would be Varric and Aveline. And Leliana and Shale from DA1, and Howe and Sigrun from Awakening. Non companion-wise, I'd like to see more of Sarebaas Qunari and maybe the Hawke cousin - her name escapes me, but I remember thinking she had some potential to be interesting.

DA3 should have new charaters, cameos are good, hopefully some of them will have quests.
Exemple: Anders: kill templar or save mage from slavers ( if Anders is dead) Use Cullen
Cullen: save templars from blood mages/defend last chantry in Orlais.

Crazy stuff like that.. rofl. Oh and add some of the things that hawke and warden did like gossips and stuff.

I won't be able to do Cullen quest because am pro Mages, but, options are welcome.

Race: Dwarf
Sex: Male
Age: Old
Beard: Yes
class: Fighter
Style: One handed Axe and Shield. Fully designed for tanking.
Personality: Misantropic, Detachted, Neutral, Self above everything else.
Romance options: Zero, absolutely nothing.

... then I may accept anything else on the remaining cast. They could even throw Vanille (from FF13) in there.

I really enjoyed reading your post, harkness. It's fun to speculate, hope, and wish! I'll share my thoughts on a few you mentioned, with the caveat that I love reading things like this and think anything is possible, really. :happy:

I agree pretty strongly that we'll see Cullen as a companion and/or romance option at some point. The lead-up is definitely there.

Morrigan and Flemeth, definitely. I, like most, believe they will play a pivotal role (if not the centralized role) in the future of the series. This is one of my favorite things to speculate about. There are so many fun possibilities, and all so mysterious!

I could also see Merrill making a return; her story didn't feel finished. I'm on the fence about whether it would make more sense in DLC or DA III, though.

Anders is one of my favorite characters in the series, so believe me when I say I'd be thrilled to see him make a return. That being said, as much as I hope they'll give us the option to continue his story, given how irreversible some of the plot decisions with him were, I strongly suspect (and understand why) they may not. (I'm trying to write this in such a way to not give spoilers.)

As for other DA II companions, I could see Fenris or Isabela making a cameo appearance. Both their "futures" were a little more of an open canvas, and would be easier to weave into the unfolding story. Sebastian seems the most likely to play a larger role. His story, much like Merrill's, felt like it was only just beginning.

Cassandra, definitely, though I'm not sure if she will be a companion or romance option. It's possible, I guess! They definitely set the stage for her to play a role in the next chapter of the DA story. I think the same goes for Leliana.

Finn would be interesting. His personality annoyed me a little, but I could see that being a possibility.

The idea of Empress Celene I is intriguing. I do believe we're going to finally get a chance to visit Orlais in future expansions, so this one makes sense to me.

I also think we're very likely to see a female Qunari companion/romance option at some point. The concept art is there.

I'm kind of curious whether or not Feynriel will be in DA3.  With "Who Needs Rescuing?" getting fixed in the last patch, it seems like another mention of Feynriel was important to BW. Of course, I may be reading into it.  Perhaps they just wanted to fix something that was broken.

Morrigan, Flemeth, Sandal, and Bodahn seem like they'll be present in some capacity, and I'm hoping for Cullen to play a more substantial role. I've said it before, and I'll say it again - he needs to be an LI !!! 

One other thing - with Mike Laidlaw's griffin tease from earlier this week, I'm thinking a griffin companion would be most excellent. Not likely, but excellent nonetheless.

Good thing you're not in control of who is or isn't coming back to DA3.
Another good thing is that there are more people who likes Merrill than who doesn't.
