Interesting new video on how Bioware created the voice of Legion.

http://www.gameinfor...-of-legion.aspx

A lot of options there, but they defintely went with the correct 'tone'. He's one of my favourite characters in Mass Effect. Hope he plays a good role in ME3.

The screen at the top; it looks like ME1, but it has your resources at the bottom like ME2?

Or did the pc version of ME1 have junk at the bottom? Hell, did any version of ME1 have junk at the bottom, been a long while, I think it did not.

I think it's ME2 and that it looks blue-ish because of the lighting.

Or.. it could be ME3.

I think it might actually be blue. You can see clear orange only at the selected option. If it were all orange (like ME2), then we would be able to see the whole thing as orange. Judging from the color, the fact that there are resources at the bottom, and there seems to be something that neither ME1 or 2 had on the right hand side (can't tell what it is, but it looks odd, and I don't recognize it), I think it may be a prototype UI.

interesting vid, thanks.

anyone know what mission/assignment the Garrus/Legion Scene is from? It's between 3:42 and 3:49. Ends with Legion saying "It is merely improbable."

Very, very cool. I've been always curious of how DC Douglas sounded without the effects.

They were gonna play something that had spoilers in regarding Legion and the Quarians. Wonder what it was all going to say?

That screen in the background is probably Mass Effect 3 related, afterall
Rob is showing us a bit of Legion's dialogue for Mass Effect 3...

"This area houses data pertaining to the initial Geth-Creator Conflict o-"

Does anybody remember if he speaks that line under any circumstance in Mass Effect 2? Is it in any of the cut audio? Or has some of the dialogue been recorded for ME3 already?

Most of the dialouge should be recorded by now, just tweaking it. I think they are recording mainly for the minor characters at the moment.

I think it's from ME2, when Legion talks about the first time a geth asked if it had a soul.

EDIT: or not.

Well, looks like we'll be visiting an archive of sorts. More likely geth than quarian, as Legion gives the tour.

And for players without legion in their saves?

I imagine the tour will be led by a "Legion 2.0" (less badass, of course) with the same voice. After all, the geth probably wouldn't see the need to create another synthesized voice for speaking with organics.

I thought that at first as well. He talks about the Geth/Creator conflict, but not about an area housing that data. It seems we are indeed going to visit an archive in ME3.

I hope you're trying to be funny.

If you're serious, that's because D.C. Douglas voiced Wesker.

I said it in the other thread on this topic but Rob says that is the final processed version that will be in ME3.

Obviously, I'm not being serious. And I think it's clear I knew he voiced him when I said that. ;)
