I liked her voice but the flirting was jarring. Granted the lines she was supposed to say I'm pretty sure no one could do without sounding like a person in a skeezy bar.

yeah, dont really have anything constructive to add, but I love her voice.. that said im a sucker for english accents... Lived in the uk for a while, so I blame that...

Anyways, I love her swagger, her default appearance.. so ye, pretty much a fanboy...

on a side note, took me a while to get used to FemSheps voice tho... I did like it eventually, just took a while... Dunno what it was either.. just sounded off somehow...

You mean you don't like Miss Cheltenham Ladies College? Shame on you.

This game is crying out for a simple pitch control slider. Even the bloody Sims has one.

It did sound rather posh English and 'Lara Croft' to me at first (perhaps the fact I'm Scottish gives me an instinctive dislike? :P) It's kinda grown on me now, I don't love it as much as Femshep by a long shot, but Trollhawke is pretty good. :D

She did sound a bit too bourgeois in my opinion. But so did Male Hawke.

I dunno, I felt that if Bioware was going to voice a Fereldan farmer refugee, they should have been a little rougher around the edges in the beginning like. . .a lighter form of cockney, (think Yangus from Dragon Quest 8) and then eventually smoothed out to common english toward the mid to end of the game.

I have trouble believing a poor farmer would sound so cultured.

Still wish they didn't waste Gideon Emery on Fenris. He should have been Hawke imo.

The first time I heard her voice (in the demo) I was thinking she sounds a bit high class for the kind of work she'll be doing :P.
I was hoping we might've gotten a voice that was closer to Shepards' voice. But now that's I've played my Hawke all the way through her voice is fine with me :).

to be honest i've only played with femhawke so far, i'm going to start my first pro-mage playthrough sometime soon so i'll use that as an excuse to make a joehawke so i can't really say either way

I think her voice is lovely.

However, sometimes her delivery on flirt lines sound off. I don't know why.

I won't argue which Hawke had a better voice, but I do find this funny....
In DA:O, people thought Leliana did a horrible fake French accent. Corinne Kempa, the voice actress, is French.
In DA2, people are complaining that FemHawke's British accent is fake. Jo Wyatt, the voice actress, is English.

You get a voice actress that doesn't have to fake the accent, and people think it's fake anyway...

... I suppose I should edit a bit. I'm from Louisiana. I have heard my share of terribly fake Cajun accents. Of course, I might even be on edge hearing an authentic one... because even in my state, there's a wide variation in the Cajun accent, so I might think a particular New Orleans-based accent was 'wrong', since that's not the accent found in my area. So I can easily see how a 'British' accent that is not the kind one is accustomed to hearing could register as 'fake'.

I have to say at first I didn't really like her voice either mostly because it was not what I was expecting. I felt she sounded more like some common female merc or something than the Champion. I have since changed my mind and now I think she sounds great. It might have help I was playing as a rogue and that I love the delivery on the sarcastic lines. Some of them are just classic.

Interesting how different reactions can be--as far as I am concerned the fem Hawke's voice is simply the best thing in the entire game--it is what makes the game truly work for me.

And this works for me as both the snarkey and the diplomatic voice.

Sorry OP, I heart FemHawke's voice to bits. As much as I heart FemShep's voice. You do not have my support in this matter.

Wow, yeah, I totally disagree. FemHawke's voice is sexy as hell. But I liked both the lead's voices.

Same here, i'm not a fan of her Hawke interpretation, but i love her voice. Definitly fresh and sweat !

Love the female voice, hate the male voice. :/ Which is one of the reasons why I'll never play as a male Hawke.

FemHawke's voice was ok. I wish it were more 'forceful' at times, tho', and that she spoke just a bit more loudly (she speaks too softly, at times, IMHO).

In general, I don't have any real issues w/ the voice acting for DA2, and some, like the Arishok's, were great.

edit:
I would like a 'language pack' (like The Witcher EE bonuses), tho', as I'd like to hear the various voices that were recorded for the other languages (case-in-point: I think I liked German FemHawke, from the demo, better than English FemHawke ^_^ )

The voice is... Absolutely a voice that I would have never chosen, when we had voice sets. I am not saying that it's a bad voice, I'm just saying... it belongs on a young, somewhat spunky NPC noblewoman, not my HERO.

But I never felt overmuch like The Hero of the game anyway, so I guess I got used to it.

(I always liked the Experienced voice set in DA:O.)

Huh? i hardly found a french accent in her voice, i'm surprised, french accent is lot loooot stRongeR.
The best french accent i remember from DAO is the asian woman on the market, when she tells you her story and problem with a chevalier (french word for knight) of orlais.
In DA2 for good french accent i remember the wife of the compt de loncet, and the mine owner.
I know there is other but i remember those 2 for their strong (and not faked) fench accent.

I agree with you here, the more experienced and wise voice seem more fitting for femhawke...than the suave we got.

well I liked the voice, loved it it in fact, heck of a lot better than the lousy vioce that the female char got in Mass Effect 1 and 2. Nice to have some personality.
