Unmarked onversation with Aveline in Act I

Sometime in the middle of Act I, after she becomes Captain, you can have a convo with Aveline at the Vicount's Keep. It's the one that starts with Varric trying to get ownership of the Hanged Man. Feels sort of like a Questioning Beliefs quest, but there's no journal entry for it and I bet some don't even know about it because of that (I got +10 friendship at the end, which I'm sure some would be interested in). Is it a bug that it doesn't appear in the journal? Luke? Bueller?

I got a similar convo about romancing Merrill with Isabela. I know there's a problem with Varric's 'Friendly concern' convo not appearing or triggering at all so it could be a bug, it could be that just sometimes you can talk to your companions and trigger a scene, but I can see that causing confusion since other conversations are marked as quests and people are going to assume companions have nothing to say if there's no journal prompt.

She even had the quest marker above her head, which makes me think even more that it's supposed to appear in the journal.
