I chose to put Anora on the throne, then agreed with Morrigan's deal, since my character figured

1) Knock Morrigan up? Sure!
2) He has work left to do in freeing the mages and the Elves.

Anyways, everything in Anora's speech went fine, right up until the point where she asked me if there was something she could do for me. I wanted to ask for the freedom of all Elves, and wasn't allowed to (why not? I was an elf after all,) so I asked that the Grey Wardens not be forgotten.

She agreed, and said artisans would commence immediately on building a statue of Alistair, to remember his sacrifice.

Erm... Alistair didn't sacrifice himself. In fact, right after Anora's speech, he was standing there (in some AWESOME armor), looking all chipper.

Seems like a variable is getting messed up somewhere. :)

Indeed, because when you do actually sacrifice Alistair, she bad-mouths him as if he's still alive and she doesn't look forward to ruling at his side.

And why would you ask the elves to be freed? They're already free.

*grins* Maybe Anora is planning to rectify his still-living state. She doesn't think very highly of Alistair, after all.

Being stashed into an alienage, treated as dirt, and having little to no rights to speak of is not what I'd call free.

If where were busses, the Elves would have to sit in the back. That's not freedom. :)

I wasn't aware that she badmouths Alistair when he is dead. I think Bio got their two lines mixed up. :)

Oh, she's very cruel to him considering what he did.

And, yeah, I know the elves are treated like dirt, but they technically are free. Asking the queen for your boon to be "having the elves treated better" doesn't make a lot of sense. I don't think that's something she can grant. ;)
