I bought the game new from Best Buy, and when I try to redeem the code, it says it's already in use!  When I first entered it, it said something about being unable to connect to the servers.  The second time, it said already in use.  I know it didn't go through, because I can't get Zaed.  Looking at the card, it says it doesn't expire until January 2012.

Help?

Your first sentence contradicts your third; I will take your second and third sentences as your actual case.

I would suggest the first thing to do is check your registered game promos on this site to see if they are registered to you.

Second, if you're connected to XBox Live you should be able to check your dlcs in the game menu as well.

Thirdly, you mention you redeemed the code but do not mention downloading the content (I'm in a picky mood).

Fourthly, it could be you just missed Zaeed. (He's on Omega straight in front of you if you didn't know.)

Now, if indeed for some reason the code did not redeem properly (i.e. my first and second points are addressed by you as having nothing) then you will need to contact EA and explain your situation to them, probably with relevant evidence at hand:

My first sentence doesn't contradict anything. I just registered the game to this account, and attempted to redeem the code here. It claims it's already in use, but I do not have the option to download the DLC. Zaed is not present on Omega.

It's like a ghost just took my key, and gave me nothing in return.

I guess I'll have to contact EA directly. I shouldn't have to pay $15 for something that was advertised as free.

EDIT:  They resolved the issue in a few minutes.  They gave me a new key, and now I'm able to downlaod the DLC.
