You, good sir/madam are simply tops when it comes to providing interesting links to emphasize your postings. I salute and thank you.
Your welcome, it just makes it more interesting if we bring the outside in.

DA2 sales are low. Listen to feedback and give the fanbase what they want (hint, it's not part of Mike Laidlaw's "awesome button" vision). That is all there is to learn from this thread. For Bioware. And yes, don't feed the trolls.
I second this post.
Also, this seems like a good time to close the bet I made just before DA2's release in this thread (where I speculated that the change of direction could lead to a fanbase/sales collapse). EA don't learn, do they? Since EA has been losing lots of money, and their stock value is based on future performance and cash assets, doesn't it seem strange that people buy their stock when they have a proven and continuing record of turning investments to mush?
Will Laidlaw eat *his* hat now? Bet he didn't bake a gingerbread one like I did.
I'll stop gloating now.

Um, a 100% drop in price would be £0.diblob wrote...
Just saw a second hand copy for sale in game for £19. That's a 100% drop in price in 6 weeks.

Meh, Molyneux used to have all these interesting new concepts, now he's just making that Fable crap. The first game was interesting, but ultimately bad. Repeatative, unbalanced, and freaking annoying. The latest one has hackneyed writing too. Complancy is death, sez I.Gatt9 wrote...
Um...Molyneux is behind Fable, Fable 2, and Fable 3. Which actually all sold more units than Mass Effect 2. Though, Fable 3 got roasted for the very same reasons DA2 is getting it, in fact, it's pretty much identical. Removed most RPG elements, features implemented in weak fashion, weak time-jumping gameplay, decisions make no impact.

Molyneux has good ideas and I personally think the industrial setting of Fable 3 is perfect, but then I'm a long time Arcanum fan.
His problem is implementation and Fable 3 in particular is mired by gimmicks insisted upon by Microsoft (like the half-assed multiplayer and trading mechanics).

If I were BioWare I'd just kill the Dragon Age series altogether and concentrate on the MMO.

Kudos for mentioning Arcanum. I personally think Molyneux is like an excited kid who raves about all these awesome ideas he has... and then the design team have to try to explain to him why none of these things are possible.

Ah, yes, murder the single player RPG in its sleep. Nobody plays those any more, right? I remember when video games were a way for me to escape other people...
