I'm not a paragon. I just don't trust TIM.

The guy's eyes GLOW, and he gets all crazy-eyed when he talks about "Cerberus IS humanity!"

Paragon or renegade, you're a moron if you'd follow someone like that.

The "point" of Cerberus(protecting humanity and keeping it competitive against the other species) I do agree with, to an extent.

Why do people latch onto that one sentence so much? TIM says basically the same thing about Shepard. The Council implies that they are the galaxy! It's just a figure of speech.

I try to remain neutral to human nature. If shooting Conrad in the foot seems to be the funniest way to greet the idiot, so be it.

I hate cerberus, but they have value. and seem to be the only guys besides shep who is actually doing anything about the reapers.

Anderson betrays you. The alliance is too far up its own ass to even be able to protect its colonies. The council is air quoting you to death...

Seems the only thing I can trust now is Zaeed's scar.

That's the thing: for TIM, I don't think it really is "just a figure of speech".  Dude really seems to mean it.

Don't underestimate the council ... I think that they appear to be one way but are also working with you. Example - Virmire. I also don't get why people love the Alliance and hate Cerberus, considering that they are connnected.

TIM is the only person who not only tells you he supports you but puts his money where his mouth is. Can you imagine what the Alliance would have done to you when you made a GETH part of your crew?

I struggled with the Collector base and felt nauseous every time I blew it up just to make my crew happy. But then I realized that the Reapers know how we are progressing because we use their technology. That has been the reason now for me to blow the base up ... it would be unexpected and not leading us in the path that they want (i hope). I do not, however, blow it up because I don't want TIM to have it.

I really hope that Bioware is not smoking "PC" weed when charting the cause-effect to the game in ME3 but really thinking it through and throwing all of us off at the end with results that make sense. Fingers crossed!

Metaphorically I'm sure he does. If Cerberus falls so will humanity. They are its sole defense against a hostile galaxy.

But the Reapers never intended on the CB being captured or getting the Thanix Cannon schematics from a dead Reaper.

...Except that TIM is standing on his tippy toes, yelling Hitler-esque style.

And the Council is, you know...the Council. They, legally, represent the galaxy.

And he says Shepard is a symbol of humanity. He never says, to my knowledge, that Shepard IS humanity.

Sorry, but you're denying something that is just blatantly obvious.

Just admit it. Even if the idea of Cerberus is a good one, which I think it is. TIM himself is a hitler waiting to happen and it's completely obvious. He even does that evil little chair turn and grin thing at the end whilst staring out his little station window.

Guy is straight out of a Bond movie.

How am I being a hypocrite?

The Council is legal, legitimate government. TIM is a self-proclaimed protector of humanity(egomaniac).

They're also racist, oppressive and keep the 'lesser races' from having any say in galactic politics.

Too bad Cerberus Fans are in for arude awakening in ME3...

CL Shepard - Hey, TIM! Wanna go grab something to eat?
TIM - Sure. Catch up with you in a sec.
-Shepard Leaves-
TIM - ...Make sure the Alliance learns on what happened with the Batarians. If Shepard escapes in the end I want you to kill him/her and bring me back his/her body.
Grunt - The Body? Why?
TIM - I'm obsessed, dang it! Only I can have Shepard! FOREVER!

Yes. They do. I'm not pro-council either. I'm independent, because just about everyone in authority in the ME universe is either stupid, crazy, or incompetent. But they *are* the legitimate government of the galaxy, and thus have the right to act as such until overthrown or impeached or however the ME universe handles such things.

Pretty sure it's through force because that's how the Krogan did it and they nearly won.

That is where the "I Hope" comes into play. The Reapers have been playing this game before earthlings were beating rocks. Destroying or keeping the base is a coin toss ... I just hate it when I hear that people blow it up just to keep TIM from having it. I have to have a real reason to destroy it. I have 2 Sheps who kept & 2 Sheps who destroyed. What will be funny if this base has no impact (or mention) in the next game.

What makes something legal, KainryKarr? This is a bigger question than you might think.

Shepard IS humanity. TIM's the jealous kid brother, "illusive" in the shadow Shepard casts over him. He's on my hit list for insolence.

@PMC65  My thoughts, too. Humanity must make his own way. In conversation with Legion, they remark how wonderful human enginuity is. I realized that just before the suicide mission. Humanity doesn't need the Reapers' help. Even if they didn't intend on losing the base, they would guiding human progress.

I think your willingness to admit the truth about yourself is a step in the right direction. It will improve your whole life.

My honest opinion of Cerberus can be neatly put together by this one comic strip made on my other favorite site 'The Escapist'.

Please Cerberus fans do not take this to great offence. I'm mostly just clowning around.

NEEDS MOAR FLAME!

C'mon people: if you're gonna do yet another round of this silly Paragon/Renegade holy war crap, at least do it up in style.  Call ancestry into question.  Make unwarranted assumptions about one another's real-world success in career/love/life-in-general based on trivial ME choices.  Insults in image macro form.  Tired memes.  Jazz hands.  Make the forums burn with the heat of thousand relay-displacing supernovas!
